Test to check systems and components are secure and working properly
Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem
Drive the vehicle for testing purposes and inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary

What You'll Do
As a Senior Automotive Technician, you'll use your expertise to accurately diagnose and repair vehicles, support the team, and help keep our customers safe on the road.
Your key responsibilities include:
Diagnosing vehicles based on your certifications and experience
Performing work as outlined on repair orders and multi-point inspections, with accuracy and efficiency

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

The primary functions of the Mechanic Apprentice/LubeTechnician include but are not limited to repairs and maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, battery testing, fluid checks and fills, tire mounting and rotations, light bulb replacements and inspections. This employee will ensure that the mechanical repairs on company equipment and vehicles are done in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Regular, reliable attendance at the worksite or assigned work location. Follow all safety and environmental rules, regulations and procedures as set forth by company policies and MSHA. Follow all company policies and local, state and federal regulations for safe working procedures. Ability and knowledge to operate and monitor equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Ability to perform preventive maintenance and pre-shift inspections; repair and/or clean equipment as needed. Responsible for overall housekeeping including plant, equipment, and site. Ability to comprehend and complete all needed paperwork in a timely and accurate manner. Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lift objects of various dimensions and up to 75 lbs. occasionally and 50 lbs. frequently. Ability to repeatedly climb stairs and ladders. Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects. Ability to use vibration producing tools frequently. Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather conditions. Ability to repeatedly reach, squat and tolerate prolonged standing/walking/sitting. Ability to frequently walk on uneven surfaces.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Some experience. Some to no Level One equipment utilized at the operators facility required. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. As a Senior Automotive Technician, you'll use your expertise to accurately diagnose and repair vehicles, support the team, and help keep our customers safe on the road.

Your Role As An Auto Transmission Tech:
Our schedule offers you a fantastic work-life balance, running from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.
Every day, you play a vital role in the team by completing transmission installation tasks with pride and collaborating with your colleagues to ensure customer satisfaction and meet company goals. You effectively use digital vehicle inspection systems on a tablet or cell phone and have a solid understanding of both automatic and manual transmission installations. You consistently produce strong, accurate results using all tools of the trade, demonstrating a commitment to top-tier procedures and integrity while meeting deadlines.

Experience in the automotive transmission repair and installation industry
Current references from reputable businesses
Strong knowledge of the automotive and manual transmission installation industry
Ability to bring all tools of the trade
6+ years of experience in automotive driveline/transmission environments is preferred
