Responsible for monitoring and operating oil refinery processing equipment and assures production quality standards are met. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Constantly monitor and control plant operations to carry out the established operations plan, anticipating and solving problems in a timely manner, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Physically monitor and maintain within normal ranges operating parameters including process temperatures, vacuums, pressures, flows and levels to evaluate automatically controlled process. Take product samples per product specifications, analyze product quality and record resulting test data. Maintain logs of instrument readings observed during hourly rounds. This includes pressure and temperature gauges, checking pumps for leaks, checking tanks for leaks, etc. Follow all company and regulatory food safety policies and procedures. Reports any potential food safety issues to management. Participates in all programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness. Communicates regularly with all other employees and departments and assists all other employees and departments as required for efficient plant operation. Participates in projects as needed or assigned by management that improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
