Position: Senior Mechanical Engineer, Low Voltage Electronics
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer with experience in Electronics design to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical systems that integrate with electronic components and assemblies. The ideal candidate will work closely with electrical engineers, Thermal Engineer and cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, reliable, and manufacturable products in a variety of industries, including consumer electronics, automotive, or industrial applications.
As a Mechanical Engineer for Low Voltage Electronics team, you would be working on the design of cutting edge technologies such as Electronic Control Units for Infotainment, Body and Vehicle Control, and Vehicle Telematics for our world class EVs.
The Role:
Design and develop mechanical systems and components for electronic products, ensuring proper integration with electrical circuitry, PCBs, and other electronic parts.
Collaborate with electrical engineers to define mechanical requirements, such as thermal management, housing design, and component placement.
Perform 3D modeling, simulations, and analysis using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools).
Conduct mechanical testing, including stress, thermal, and vibration analysis, to validate designs.
Evaluate materials, manufacturing methods, and processes for cost-effective, high-quality production.
Support the prototyping, testing, and iteration of electronic products.
Design enclosures, brackets, and other mechanical parts for various electronic devices with a focus on durability and functionality.
Ensure that designs comply with industry standards and regulations (e.g., EMC, UL, FCC, IC, CE ).
Work closely with the production team to ensure designs are manufacturable and assist with assembly processes.
Identify and resolve mechanical issues in existing products, proposing improvements for performance, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
Provide support for documentation, including BOM (Bill of Materials), assembly drawings, and design specifications.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to share design updates, risks, and recommendations.
Qualifications:
First principle thinking.
Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.
5 years or more of experience in automotive.
Proven experience in mechanical design, particularly in the development of electronic products or systems.
Strong proficiency with CATIA CAD Tool.
Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and prototyping techniques.
Solid understanding of material properties, including plastics, metals, and composites used in electronics packaging.
Knowledge of thermal management strategies and vibration isolation in electronic systems.
Familiarity with the electrical engineering design process, including component selection and integration with mechanical systems.
Experience working with EOL fixtures, SMT equipment and other equipment for Electro-Mechanical components.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams.
Familiarity with industry standards, including UL, RoHS, and ISO certifications.
Previous experience in consumer electronics, medical devices, automotive, or industrial products is a plus
Advantageous:
Proficiency in utilizing CAD software CATIA V5 or preferred V6, for 3D modeling and packaging design
Experience in using CAE tools such as Ansys Workbench or Ansys Electronics Desktop for Electro-mechanical Analysis

We are seeking a Staff Engineer - System Modeling & Testing to lead the development of advanced thermal and HVAC system models and validation strategies at Lucid Motors. This role requires deep technical expertise, strategic planning, and the ability to drive innovation and influence system architecture decisions across vehicle programs. Key Responsibilities
Own the 1D system modeling strategy for thermal and HVAC systems using GT-SUITE, Simulink, MATLAB, and Python, ensuring models support architecture trade-offs, control strategy development, and program-level decisions.
Lead development and validation of reduced-order models for key thermal components, leveraging test data and high-fidelity simulations to ensure accuracy, computational efficiency, and alignment with control requirements.
Perform and guide CFD simulations for HVAC and thermal systems to support component-level design iterations, identify optimization opportunities, and enable simulation-driven design decision-making.
Define and execute system validation plans, including lab testing, instrumentation, and correlation of models with physical data; establish correlation metrics and sign-off criteria.
Conduct advanced data analysis of simulation and experimental results using Python and MATLAB to extract insights, optimize system performance, and inform architecture decisions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (thermal, controls, battery, drive unit, vehicle integration, hardware design, manufacturing, and suppliers) to align on requirements and ensure robust system integration.
Establish best practices for modeling workflows, automation, and regression testing in Python; implement standards for version control and model quality.
Mentor and coach engineers, review models and test plans, and contribute to technical leadership across programs.
Support supplier evaluations and guide packaging and manufacturability considerations for thermal components.
Own modeling & validation workstream commitments aligned to department OKRs; track, report, and drive cross-functional unblockers to hit targets.
Demonstrate ownership of major features from concept through model-to-test correlation sign-off; provide technical direction across programs.
Qualifications - Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Thermal Sciences, or related field (PhD a plus).
6-10 years of relevant experience in thermal systems modeling, simulation, and validation (automotive or related); 10+ total years preferred.
Expertise in GT-SUITE, Simulink, MATLAB, and Python for simulation, optimization, and data analysis.
Strong foundation in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics, with deep knowledge of EV thermal system architectures (battery cooling, drive unit cooling, cabin HVAC, heat pumps).
Proficiency with CFD tools (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, Star-CCM+, OpenFOAM) for component- and subsystem-level thermal/fluid analysis.
Proven ability to define modeling strategies, establish correlation standards, and influence system-level architecture decisions.

We are currently seeking a Staff variability reduction Engineer for powertrain components, this position manages quality and manufacturing aspects for powertrain manufacturing processes as well as for Incoming quality for powertrain material, it'd be key internal interface between manufacturing, engineering, and supplier quality to deliver world class quality products. Lucid Motors is seeking a Staff Paint Materials Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to join us at Amp-1 in Casa Grande, AZ. This opportunity will be responsible for defining material specifications for paint systems (pre-treatment, E-Coat, primer, basecoat, clear coat) as well as sealers, adhesives, betafoam, and related materials. This role partners closely with suppliers to ensure all materials meet functional, aesthetic, and durability requirements.
The ideal candidate will be a strong cross-functional communicator, able to coordinate with manufacturing engineers, design studios, and product engineering teams to align on material selection, testing, and validation. This role also manages supplier onboarding, vendor contracts (in partnership with Purchasing), material buyoffs, and serves as the primary point of contact for all paint-related programs, including new launches, greenfield, and brownfield projects.
You will:
Develop and execute DOEs with suppliers to validate materials against industry standards.
Define and document specifications for paint materials, sealers, and adhesives.
Manage the process of developing and maintaining color standards.
Collaborate with the Design Studio to deliver colors that meet both aesthetic and performance criteria.
Work with product engineers to ensure correct material specifications are applied.
Establish validation and launch plans in partnership with suppliers and manufacturing engineers.
Serve as the subject-matter expert for environmental compliance related to paint and material formulations.
Ensure all formulations meet the requirements of governing environmental agencies.
Support process development, including establishing application parameters for paints and sealers.
Lead pretreatment and E-Coat development to optimize corrosion resistance.
Contribute to control plan creation to ensure operational readiness.
Support RFQ processes for direct material contracts and indirect system material needs.
Maintain HMIS compliance for material toxicity and corrosivity.
Oversee lab testing and buyoffs with vendors for new material approvals.
Evaluate and integrate new paint technologies for compatibility with approved materials.
You bring:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, STEM or related field, or equivalent relevant education and experience.

As a Manufacturing Engineer II, Powertrain Battery, you will be responsible for participating and designing new Powertrain equipment at Lucid. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with Logistics, Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing Engineers, Product Engineering, New Product Introduction, and other cross-functional teams to ensure the General Assembly process is properly designed and implemented. You Will:
* Lead technical efforts across teams engaged in complex problem-solving related to End-of-Line (EOL) electrical testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
* Prepare and procure all items for station readiness for reflash and test equipment.
* Develop, validate, and implement new test strategies, tools, and equipment to improve overall test quality, throughput, and efficiency.
* Collaborate with Software Engineering and Production teams to coordinate software launches.
* Develop and implement training programs for production associates
* Manage software flashing processes across vehicle control modules, ensuring software integrity and configuration accuracy.
* Lead efforts in MES system integration and process monitoring for traceability and test result validation.
* Implement and maintain Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedules for all EOL electrical test equipment.
* Develop a tracking system for managing all the projects conducted by the team and documenting them in Jira and other project management tools.
* Lead vehicle diagnostic and repair efforts, including root-cause analysis using UDS protocol, PCAP data analysis, and electrical schematic review.
* Use DMAIC methodology, MODAPTs analysis, and flow system programming to identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement in EOL operations.
* Develop training programs for technicians and operators, ensuring best practices in electrical repair standards
* Provide hands-on support to resolve complex electrical test failures and guide repair technicians on advanced diagnostics.
* Maintain a consistent balance between safety, quality, cost, and productivity in all EOL-related processes and initiatives.
You Bring:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering required (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Preferred).
* 2+Automotive experience: End of line or Electrical Engineering Preferred.
* Ability to influence outcomes and drive initiatives in complex environments.
* Hands-on experience with automotive tester equipment design or deployment is preferred.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-precision environment, while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
* Possesses strong presentation skills and communicates clearly and professionally at various levels both inside and outside the company.
* Working knowledge of MES, DSA and EV LV system is required
