The Manufacturing Engineer II, Powertrain (Sustaining) will support the development, launch, and optimization of Powertrain Enclosure manufacturing processes at our Arizona facility. The ideal candidate will bring strong Body in White (BIW) equipment and process knowledge, combined with hands-on experience in CMM operations and sealant dispense systems to ensure high-quality, repeatable production of structural enclosure components.
You Will:
Lead process development and continuous improvement efforts for Enclosure assembly lines using Body in White (BIW) methodologies.
Develop and optimize joining, fastening, and sealing processes using automation, robotics, and dispense systems.
Support installation, commissioning, and line readiness activities including equipment setup, documentation, operator training, and station validation.
Apply BIW process knowledge to solve structural and dimensional challenges in enclosure assembly.
Coordinate with product engineering, quality, and operations teams for New Product Introductions (NPIs).
Develop process quality control plans and conduct PFMEAs and root cause analysis using 8D, Six Sigma, and DOE methodologies.
Use CMM systems and measurement data to validate and maintain dimensional quality across enclosure assemblies.
Validate and tune sealant dispense paths for manual and automated systems to ensure proper coverage and repeatability.
Contribute to factory layout optimization, ergonomics, and throughput enhancements for enclosure production lines.
Support data collection and analytics to evaluate OEE, cycle time, and line balance while collaborating cross-functionally to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
You Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or STEM with 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in BIW or assembly process development in automotive or similar industries.
2+ years of experience with Body in White equipment, joining processes, structural assemblies, and CMM systems for dimensional quality validation.
2+ years of experience with sealant dispense systems (manual and robotic) and manufacturing equipment automation including PLCs and I/O systems.
Working knowledge of process quality tools including PFMEA, control plans, 8D, Six Sigma, and DOE methodologies.
Skilled in AutoCAD and 3D modeling tools (Catia preferred) with strong cross-functional collaboration skills and willingness to work hands-on onsite at Arizona manufacturing facility.

We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the End of Line, Manufacturing Engineering team. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for taking the lead role in managing all the electrical testing at Lucid. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with Logistics, Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing Engineers, Product Engineering, New Product Introduction, and other cross-functional teams to ensure the General Assembly process is properly designed and implemented. You Will:
Lead technical efforts across teams engaged in complex problem-solving related to End-of-Line (EOL) electrical testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
Prepare and procure all items for station readiness for reflash and test equipment.
Develop, validate, and implement new test strategies, tools, and equipment to improve overall test quality, throughput, and efficiency.
Collaborate with Software Engineering and Production teams to coordinate software launches.
Manage software flashing processes across vehicle control modules, ensuring software integrity and configuration accuracy.
Lead efforts in MES system integration and process monitoring for traceability and test result validation.
Implement and maintain Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedules for all EOL electrical test equipment.
Develop a tracking system for managing all the projects conducted by the team and documenting them in Jira and other project management tools.
Lead vehicle diagnostic and repair efforts, including root-cause analysis using UDS protocol, PCAP data analysis, and electrical schematic review.
Use DMAIC methodology, MODAPTs analysis, and flow system programming to identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement in EOL operations.
Develop training programs for technicians and operators, ensuring best practices in electrical repair standards
Provide hands-on support to resolve complex electrical test failures and guide repair technicians on advanced diagnostics.
Maintain a consistent balance between safety, quality, cost, and productivity in all EOL-related processes and initiatives.
You Bring:
Bachelor's Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
3+Automotive experience: End of line or Electrical Engineering Preferred.
Proven experience in project management, from initiation through execution and closure.
Hands-on experience with automotive tester equipment design or deployment is preferred.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-precision environment, while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
Possesses strong presentation skills and communicates clearly and professionally at various levels both inside and outside the company.
