What you bring to the table:
1-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience, preferably in retail grocery with knowledge of Customer Service departments including Front End, Online Pick-up and Cash Office
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field (preferred) or equivalent years of work experience
Highly motivated, results-oriented, and a self-starter with a proven track record of success
Strong ability to influence and communicate effectively across different functions

PetSmart's Pet Associate (Retail Sales Associate) is responsible for engaging with pet parents and their pets while providing positive experiences and upholding the company's vision, mission, values, and strategy. This role also shares responsibility of store cleanliness and maintenance, and pet safety standards as well as the direct care of pets within our store.
Essential Responsibilities
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following and may vary depending on store characteristics and needs:
Responsible for the pet parent experience and outcomes conducted in person, over the phone, at the sales register and online.
Greets pet parents and answers their questions throughout the store.

Ensures a safe environment for our associates, pets, and pet parents.
Responsible for taking immediate action when a sick/injured pet is identified in the store; transport to the vet as needed.

What You'll Do:

Perform market and data analysis to identify key spend areas for improvement and develop category management plans

Develop and own procurement processes, policies, and tools to support business objectives in alignment with procurement strategy
Drive supplier relationship management and oversight to maximize business value
Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the organization
Leverage intelligence and data collected through systems, observation, subject matter experts and cross-functional groups to assess company processes for the purpose of identifying and quantifying inefficiencies within the business
Work collegially with business areas to address and improve inefficiencies

What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in business, Management or related field required, Master's degree preferred -
Equivalent work experience will be considered
10+ years of experience
3+ years management experience
Extensive experience in a business environment with significant interpersonal contacts requiring independent professional judgment
Extensive experience reviewing and negotiating contracts
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Proven record of accomplishment of delivering cost savings, improving vendor relationships, and optimizing processes
Working knowledge of legal environment related to contracts and agreements
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to use data to inform decision making

Performs inspection, preventative and corrective maintenance procedures on material handling equipment to include but not limited to carton conveying equipment, pallet conveying equipment, cranes, and physical building structures within our automated warehouse. Works independently on tasks, but also works as part of a team on work or projects as designated by the lead or supervisor. Performs diagnostics and uses formal documentation i.e., electrical prints, mechanical drawings to analyze, improve and repair equipment. Adheres to all maintenance safe work practices and maintains a safe working environment at all times.
Essential Duties:
Diagnose machine malfunction and determine need for adjustment or repair. Reports any problems to lead or supervisor.
Disassembles, inspects, and performs routine repairs and rebuilds defective parts on all equipment
Assembles and test operates machine to verify correction of malfunction.
Maintains and lubricates machine tools and equipment.
Cleans machines and may paint machines or equipment to prevent corrosion.
Install or recharge batteries for any battery-powered equipment.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred; required for all ASRS Maintenance positions plus the following step requirements for level.
Fluency in English; speak, read and write.
Level 1 requires six months of commercial or industrial maintenance related experience
Level II requires two years of commercial or industrial maintenance related experience
Level II requires five years related experience or equivalent combination in mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance in a distribution center or industrial environment targeting one or more of the following: material handling equipment, power lift equipment, electronic / electrical installation and equipment diagnosis, or facilities maintenance.
Operates shop tools such as a grinder, drill press, cutting torch and welding machine to repair or join metal parts.
