1992 — Creation of authorized capital of the newly incorporated LUKoil joint-stock company, the Company ranking among the top three global leaders in terms of oil production.
The company went private in 1993, and seven years later it acquired Getty Oil, an American company, which gave Lukoil a network of United States filling stations.
1995 — Switching over to common corporate shares and geographic presence expansion.
1996 — Participation in Shakh-Deniz international gas project.
1997 — First projects in Kazakhstan and Iraq.

2011 — LUKOIL opens Russia’s first ever corporate training center to train offshore oil industry personnel.
April 27th, 2012, Opening ceremony in Barcelona of extension, called MEROIL TANK, S.L., and start of operations in the new capacity of 360.000 m3.
2012 — LUKOIL switches over to production of only EURO 5 gasolines.
2013 — LUKOIL expands its presence in Western Africa.
June 2014: Marketing of West Qurna 2 crude production.
2015 — Integration into the Russian wholesale energy market.
2016 – LUKOIL celebrated its 25th anniversary.
2018 – LUKOIL starts buy-back, continues to develop lucrative offshore production projects, commissions a gas treatment complex in Uzbekistan, finishes construction of a solar power plant in Volgograd, and opens the Church of the Holy Martyr Tatiana in Kogalym.
As per March 11th, 2019, LITASCO SA in Switzerland is expanding business into Gas and Power
2019 – LUKOIL continues development of the Caspian shelf, brings a new field into production in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District, concludes agreements on projects development with foreign partners, and launches manufacturing of new refined petroleum products.
