The MCS team operates from a strengths-based perspective, collaborating with first responders, community stakeholders, clinical leadership, and fellow mobile crisis responders. The MCS team will work within a culture of crisis prevention, making every effort to ensure individuals are effectively stabilized within their home and community whenever possible. The MCS team will ensure appropriate follow-up for individuals who have experienced a crisis event and ensure linkage to ongoing supports and services, operating in an enhanced localized crisis response system contributing to the goal of increased community stabilization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Can articulate the mission, vision and practices of the MCS program.
Communicates the practice expectations of the emergency response system to consumers, community partners, and funders.
Responds to crisis referrals according to Choices' policy.
Provides back up when requested/as available if contacted by first responders.
Adheres to the policies and protocols established by Choices for the management of a 24/7 mobile crisis response system.
Incorporates the guiding principles and values of Systems of Care into their interactions with youth and families, fellow team members, Choices staff and system partners.
Communicates effectively with Choices Leadership Team to ensure collaborative efforts and proactive response to issues and concerns.
Maintains positive working relationships with co-workers.
Follows established strategic plans and quality improvement procedures to achieve stated goals and enhance the experience of referred individuals with mobile crisis response services.
Ensures collection of all necessary service data.
Participates in scheduled meetings to review performance and quality indicators and makes recommended adjustments to improve the response and stabilization service.
Willingly completes other duties as assigned to advance the mission of the Mobile Crisis Team.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include provisionally licensed mental health professional.
Strong communication and writing skills. Bi-lingual skills (Spanish) a plus.
Familiarity with area resources.
Highly organized, and effectively manages multiple priorities simultaneously.
Professionally articulate in communicating (oral and written) service expectations, strengths and needs of clients and outcomes.
Demonstrated professionalism working in teams with internal colleagues and external audiences in both person and through various electronic media.
Enthusiastic about advancing system change within the community.
Must possess a valid driver's license in the state of residence, auto insurance and reliable vehicle.
Salary: $48,000-$55,000 (dependent on experience)

Jefferson RISE opened in 2015 with its founding 6th grade class of 120 students. Currently located in Gretna, Jefferson RISE provides a middle and high school education to students on the Westbank of Jefferson Parish. For the 2019-20 school year, RISE enrolls students in 6th through 10th grade. By 2021, RISE will have full enrollment in grades 6-12. On the Westbank, less than 1/3 of our incoming students are on grade level in ELA and Math. By focusing on preparing our students for the most rigorous colleges and careers, we will ensure that every student leaves RISE prepared for his or her future. While there are Advanced Academies and private schools, RISE is the only 6-12 open enrollment option. Jefferson RISE provides a college preparatory curriculum to students in Jefferson Parish. Our school day and school year are longer to be sure our students get access to core subjects and electives. Position Overview
Assessment Proctors are responsible for facilitating and administering tests and exams for students who require small group and individual accommodations or for students who previously missed an exam while absent. Reporting to the Assessment Coordinator, proctors are responsible for administering exams and make-up exams, assisting students with understanding testing requirements, troubleshooting system or equipment malfunctions, and maintaining student records. Proctors will be held accountable by the Assessment Coordinator in regard to their performance and growth. The Assessment Proctor is a part-time position with an immediate start date.
Essential Functions
1. Administering Assessments
1.1. Administers exams, including but not limited to: state tests, unit exams, quizzes, make-up tests.
1.2. Assist students with understanding testing requirements, procedures, and protocols.
1.3. Documents and records any testing irregularities and reports to the Assessment Coordinator.
1.4. Troubleshoots issues with testing software and hardware, including but not limited to: Kurzweil, headphones, chromebooks.
2. Preparing for Assessments
2.1. Ensures all tests are uploaded into Kurzweil.
2.2. Obtains appropriate hardware prior to testing (accommodation bags, chromebooks, etc.).
2.3. Ensures all students with pull-out testing accommodations are present.
2.4. Communicates with the Assessment Coordinator regarding any additional needs prior to testing.
