**Job Summary**

Be a participant in an innovative climbing skills training program!

Perform line clearing and tree trimming duties for Lewis Tree Service's utility customers including pruning trees and limbs, trimming or removal of trees as well as removing broken limbs from wires, roofs, etc.

Podar y/o remover arboles subiéndose al árbol o con la ayuda de un elevador aéreo (bajo la supervisión directa de un líder o jefe de la cuadrilla/equipo o de un podador de árboles calificado en despeje de líneas)
Cargar y descargar camiones con trozos o leños de madera, matorrales (brush) y restos y/o alimentar los matorrales (brush) dentro de la astilladora ( chipper). Usar cuerdas de manera manual para bajar ramas y equipo. Usar y dar mantenimiento a las herramientas pequeñas a nivel del suelo. Rociar los muñones (restos del tronco) y los matorrales (brush).
Manejar y operar camiones y otros equipos como le sean asignados. Reportar las necesidades para reparar los camiones y los equipos al líder o jefe de la cuadrilla.
Proteger a los empleados y al público en general de los peligros en y alrededor del área de trabajo. Ayudar a hacer cumplir las prácticas seguras en el trabajo.
Que necesitara…
La habilidad de realizar trabajos físicos como por ejemplo levantar un mínimo de 50 libras (22.68 Kg) a la altura de sus hombros o más alto

Responsibilities
The Apartment Groundsperson reports to the Facilities Manager and is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the property.
+ Conduct pruning and landscape maintenance
+ Trim, edge and mulch as directed
+ Rake leaves and collect debris from grounds and common areas
+ Clean and pick up grounds and breezeways; including trash collection
+ Remove snow and spread salt in inclement weather
+ Assist with pool maintenance as directed by supervisor

What you'll do as a Ground person at Lewis:
Be a participant in an innovative climbing skills training program!
Be part of a tight-knit crew working in a team environment
Perform line clearing and tree trimming duties for Lewis Tree Service's utility customers including pruning trees and limbs, trimming or removal of trees as well as removing broken limbs from wires, roofs, etc.
Climb trees for manual trimming and removals in and above the power lines.
Prepare, operate and maintain all tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
Remove limbs and brush, cleanup and dispose of debris.
Mixing and apply spray chemicals, preserving desirable vegetation
Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in and around the working area. Help enforce on-the-job safety practices.
What you'll need:
Ability to perform physical labor such as lifting a minimum of 50 lbs to shoulder height or more
Capable of operating two-handed equipment (chain saw, circular saw, etc.) and have the physical ability to endure extreme climate variances.
Willing and able to obtain specialized training and certifications as required, such as:
Tree species identification and local, state and federal licenses
Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR cards
Pass a pre-employment drug test and job duty skills tests
Ability to obtain valid Driver's License
