Lumileds CEO and leadership

Matt Ronet was appointed to Lumileds CEO October 20202. Roney most recently served as President of Lumileds’ Automotive Business Unit. After more than 20 years in leadership roles at automotive and industrial businesses, Mr. Roney brings a broad range of business experience to Lumileds.

Prior to joining Lumileds, Roney served as Chief Operating Officer for Stanley Infrastructure, a division of Stanley Black & Decker. Previously, Roney was the President of Paladin Attachments, which was acquired by Stanley Infrastructure. He also spent eight years at TRW Automotive, now known as ZF TRW, in roles of rising responsibility, including Vice President and General Manager of its $2.5 billion Global Steering Business. Roney has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University, an MSE in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Jan Paul Teuwen is a Chief Financial Officer at Lumileds and is based in San Jose, California. He has worked as VP of Finance - Corporate controller and Head of FP&A at Lumileds, FP&A Controller at Lumileds, and Busines Controller Retail and Telecom at Pace. Jan studied at Aloysius De Roosten, Erasmus University Rotterdam, and Maastricht School of Management between 2010 and 2013.

Mr. Klein brings vast experience in leading Culture, Performance, Leadership and Talent development initiatives to his role as Lumileds Chief HR Officer. Mr. Klein joined Lumileds 3 years ago as sr. Director Talent & Org Development, after which he was given global HR responsibility for our Automotive BU before becoming CHRO.

Prior to joining Lumileds, Mr. Klein served as Global Head for Leadership development, Executive recruitment, Talent & performance Management at NN Group. Before joining NN Group, Mr. Klein held various HR leadership and management positions at ING Group and American Express.

Mr. Klein holds a bachelor degree in International Management from the Amsterdam School of Business in the Netherlands as well as a degree in Business Administration (Diplom Betriebswirt) from the University of Applied Sciences in Dortmund, Germany.

Mr. Yocum has served as a senior legal advisor for both publicly traded and private equity sponsored companies undertaking rapid growth initiatives and implementing transformational change.

Prior to joining Lumileds, Mr. Yocum was the Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for each of Vectra Co., a global technology-driven manufacturer serving the automotive, electronics, aerospace, defense, and medical industries. Prior to that, he held the same title at Taminco Corporation, a global publicly-traded specialty chemical company. He started his career with the law firm of Shearman & Sterling LLP in New York.

Mr. Yocum holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Villanova University School of Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Temple University.

A Silicon Valley veteran who has structured and negotiated strategic relationships with industry leaders in technology, Ms. McAlpine joined Lumileds as Senior VP and General Counsel. Earlier she served as Vice President and General Counsel at Avnet Inc., the global leader of electronic components and services.

Prior to joining Avnet, Ms. McAlpine was VP and General Counsel at cloud leader Wyse Technology Inc. and managed the sale of Wyse to Dell Inc. in May 2012. She has held previous roles at Sun Microsystems, Graham and James, and McCutchen Doyle Brown and Enersen focusing on strategic and corporate governance matters, M&A activities and intellectual property transactions.

Ms. McAlpine is a published author who writes and speaks on industry issues nationally. She has been named one of the Most Influential Woman in Business by the Silicon Valley Business Journal and was awarded the YWCA Technology Women in Industry Award. Ms. McApline serves on the advisory board for the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix, AZ. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of Alabama and a Juris doctor degree from Suffolk University Law in Boston.
