Material Handler Summary:We are looking for a reliable Material Handler to help maintain warehouse stock and assist in fulfilling orders.
The Material Handler will be responsible for supplying material to production lines and replenishing Kanban carts.
The material handler will also be responsible for organizing and maintaining inventory locations in the warehouse.
Ability to operate a forklift is required.
Preference will be given to candidates who are licensed to operate a forklift and are available to work overtime hours during the busier times of the year.
Essential Job Functions:•Gain and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Procurement and MaterialManagement processes.
•Pull Material from Warehouse to replenish Kanban carts and production line staging areas.
•Conduct warehouse inventories, maintaining tally listings during the counting process, assistingin determining the reasons for overages, shortages, and expired items.
•Ensure safe storage and organization of supplies in the warehouse.
•Monitor inventory levels and suggest new orders when needed.
•Oversee inventory movement between stations to maintain stock levels•Use forklifts, handcarts, dollies, and other manual equipment to lift and move stock.
•Utilize the ERP System to lookup inventory quantities and locations.
•Support other production / administrative functions as assigned.
•Displacement of finished trailers from the QC area to the yard.
•Organization and maintenance of first in and first out procedure for completed trailers.
Essential Skills and Experience:•High school diploma/GED required.
•2+ years' Proven experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate, or similar position.
•1+ years' inventory management experience.
•Ability to lift loads of 50 pounds.
•Experience in using warehouse equipment (e.
g.
forklifts, pallet jacks).
•Computer experience with MS Excel and MRP systems is highly desired.
•Strong attention to detail.
•Valid driver's license required.
•Experience backing up trailers a plus.

Transport all materials, products, equipment, waste, etc. through the facility formers.
Use proper and instructed driving techniques to maintain pallet load integrity.
Maintain accurate quantity and location records.
Scan or input proper control locations of pallets of ware or materials to maintain inventory validity and integrity
Perform load and unloading operations
Fill out reports daily on equipment status and condition, recognize equipment problems
Operate stretch wrap machines
Perform safety and operating checks on equipment being used.
Repair pallets
Maintain quality housekeeping and good safety practices in your area.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Applicants will be rated in accordance with the Office of Personnel Management Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties at the level for which you are applying.
Placement in this position may require a pre-employment physical examination. This is required due to the physical requirements of this position. Our Material Handlers are responsible for performing a number of different and important responsibilities including material receiving, material & product movement, product shipping and production support responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Receive, audit, inspect, ID and put away incoming material to proper locations
* Maintain housekeeping and organization in warehouse and other material location area
* Maintain correct inventories by moving materials in computer when physically moving materials
* Assists assigning production areas when not moving materials
* Ensure the product and or materials meet quality expectations
* Notify supervisor of improvement opportunities
* Support area needs to remove empty pallets, trash and recycle type materials
