Description and Requirements
Merchandiser Travel Retail Service is responsible for representing Acosta, our clients, and our customers by effectively working in teams to perform reset and remodel work including, but not limited to, reading and implementation of plan-o-grams, new item placement, void corrections, and special merchandising activity. Must be a self-starter, quick learner, has a strong attention to detail, and works well in a team environment.
What will you do?
Read and follow a plan-o-gram to effectively complete reset and remodel work. Have a working knowledge of merchandising and retail terminology
Perform duties such as moving and cleaning shelves, installing new racks and shelves, displaying merchandise properly, placing shelf strips and attaching tags properly, checking date codes and plan-o-gram integrity, and processing pack-outs, restocks and reorders as necessary
Partner with store personnel and co-workers to achieve and maintain merchandising excellence, discuss changes, and build an effective working relationship
Effectively and accurately prepare, process, submit, and manage documentation related to assigned reset and remodel work.
Perform job safely by demonstrating full awareness of his/her surroundings. Utilize proper safety techniques and equipment use when necessary. Be proactive in alerting management to any unsafe act or condition to prevent injuries
Understand and follow all Acosta Policies and standard operating procedures
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED
At least 1-year experience reading & using planograms. Retail and reset responsibility experience preferred
Possess excellent organizational skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with business partners
Comfortable utilizing Technology (i.e., smartphones, computers, copier/fax, and handheld devices)
Strong demonstration of the following core competencies:
Quality Commitment Maintain quality standards that meet and/or exceed expectations
Detail Oriented Ensure work accuracy
Customer Service Provide a level of service to customer concerns.
Communication Skills Ability to communicate effectively.

Due to travel program requirements, this role requires employees to be at least 21 years of age to obtain the necessary credentials for travel.
Travel is required, with overnight stays up to 75 - 100% of the time. Occasional weekend work would also be required.

Summary
WesTech is in need of a Checker who will review and check drawings, dimensions, calculations, specifications, and other engineering documents for accuracy, fit, form, function, and compliance to standard practices and procedures in laying out and preparing structural, mechanical & engineering drawings for water, wastewater & industrial equipment, and systems. The checker ensures all drawings and products that are supplied by the group are following appropriate product, site, and customer requirements. The Checker will be an Engineer in Training with the intent that after a time checking, the individual will be eligible to qualify for engineering work in other areas of the company such as Project Engineering, Applications Engineering, CAD Design, Project Management, or Process Engineering.
Some of the work you will do:
Checks drawings for accuracy of dimensions, spelling, and consistency.
Verifies that design on the drawing will meet the customer requirements.
Verifies that the design on the drawings reflects what we sold to the customer.
Verifies that equipment can be built and installed safely.
Checks all drawings according to checking standards for consistent feedback to Designers and Engineers
Checks that the design inputs used agree with other sources of information.
collaborates with each designer and project engineers to provide the best result for drawings.
Provides drawing practice coaching and mentoring to other designers.
Provides constructive feedback for designer colleagues for improvement of drawings.
performs calculations to check dimensions on drawings using Trigonometry, geometry and general algebra on a regular basis.
Typically uses AutoCAD or 3D CAD tools to check dimensions on drawings.

Responsibilities
What you'll do
Deliver on Our Promise by ensuring every moment matters for our clients by providing assistance when needed and communicating proactively.
Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces for a seamless parking experience.
Count vehicles on location throughout shift, as needed.
Write and issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors that violate garage policies; patrol transient and reserved parking levels as needed.
Provide assistance to customers that have forgotten where they parked their vehicle.
Responsible for being at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
Assist in the maintenance and repair of parking equipment and any general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager.
Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager.
Communicate debris, water, oil spills and etc. to garage office.
Substitute for Valets when necessary, if authorized.
Have a thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage, thorough knowledge of the major streets, landmarks and freeways in the area of the garage to assist customers in a seamless transportation experience.
Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
Qualifications

A valid state driver's license, current address, and acceptable driving record.
The ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission (stick shift) is a plus.
Availability to work special shifts if needed (2nd, 3rd shift and/or weekends).
Proof of eligibility to work legally in the U.S. (must provide valid documentation if hired).
The ability to provide accurate information to customers and co-workers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
The ability to read, write, add, and subtract US currency and comprehend instructions, short emails, and memos.

THE ROLE
