Company Beginnings in 1965
Allan W. Lund, an entrepreneur highly skilled in the design of fiberglass products, founded Lundin 1965.

Accelerated Expansion in 1994
Lund consolidated operations and doubled its production capacity as a means of keeping up with demand for its products, which soared 41 percent in the first nine months of fiscal 1994, compared with results of a year earlier.
In 1994, Lund won approval to sell its products in Europe.
In 1994, Deflecta-Shield acquired a leading aluminum products manufacturer, which enabled the company to extend product offerings to a more diverse market.
Most competing companies in the market had sales of less than $40 million, while Deflecta Shield reported sales of $72.3 million in 1996.
Together, the merged companies were expected to generate close to $130 million in sales for 1998, according to a Plastic News report.
Also in 1999, the company sold the assets of its Fibernetics specialty and plastics division in Compton, California, for approximately $1 million.
Company officials remained optimistic and estimated that by 2000, more than half the vehicles sold in the United States would be light trucks.
According to Vollmershausen, Lund enjoyed more than 10 percent of a $1.6 billion market for accessories and suspension products by the end of 2000.
The company continued to develop new cost-competitive products in response to weaker than anticipated sales in fiscal 2000, and anticipated strong longer-term demand for light truck and heavy truck accessories.
The company announced in 2000 that it would begin outsourcing its production of fiberglass products.
To continue the diversification of its portfolio, Lund International acquired Nifty Products, a design and manufacturing company for custom molded floor mats, carpet mats, rear cargo bay trays and trunk liners in 2002.
In 2004, Lund International acquired TRENZ, a leading manufacturing a custom grills along with interior and exterior automotive accessories.
That same year, Lund International acquired Prestige, a manufacturer of imported fender flares, and production was moved from Asia to the USA. The acquisition of Texas based storage box manufacturer, Tradesman, completed 2013’s acquisitions.
In 2014, Lund International acquired the Southern California based Jeep accessories manufacturer, Rampage Products.
Later in 2015, Lund International acquired tonneau cover manufacturer, Tonno Pro.
In early 2016, Roll-N-Lock, the Florida based creator and manufacturer of the most advanced truck bed cover ever made, joined the Lund International portfolio.
In early 2017, Indiana-based RoadWorks Manufacturing, a leading heavy-truck accessory company in North America, was acquired.
In 2019, Lund International joined forces with truck accessory leader Truck Hero Inc., thus forming an automotive alliance unlike any other in the industry.
In the spring of 2019, Lund International was acquired by Truck Hero Inc., positioning them to more effectively provide consumers with the most comprehensive array of automotive & truck accessories possible.
