In this role you will:
Participate in delivery of exceptional customer experience by building relationships through proactive outreach as well as proposing appropriate products, services, and digital solutions to help customers succeed financially
Assist customers with basic requests related to opening new accounts, completing service requests, and submitting credit applications

This SAFE position has customer contact and job duties which may include the offering/negotiating of terms and/or taking an application for a dwelling secured transaction. Required Qualifications:
6+ months of interacting with customers experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Experience Required to Perform Job Requirements
Prior tourism experience preferred.
Must possess or be willing and able to acquire class B Commercial Driver License (CDL).
CDL Driving:
Must obtain and maintain a valid Class B CDL with Passenger and Airbrakes endorsements. To be eligible to obtain a CDL, a candidate must have a clean driving record, be over 21 years of age by May 1, 2020, and have had a driver's license for at least one year

Mid-Season Operations
Early to mid-June through late-August is the height of the cruise line season. In this period staff may be required to work 40+ hours a week.
Living Space and Rent Structure
AMG housing is located in the center of Skagway with immediate access to the entire town. Accommodations consist of shared rooms with up to 6 employees. Room sizes are generally moderate and a premium is placed on mutual respect for the living space and the other residents. Rent procedures are clearly outlined in the Employee Manual.
Residents will be responsible for weekly rotational chores. Failure to complete the scheduled chores will result in a $25 fine. Each house has a specific house manager who will be responsible for the weekly chore schedule and chore completion check-off's.
Bedding and personal items are not included
Monthly rent is $250-$350/month
Rent deductions are made each month with 50% from each pay period.
Rent is prorated for the first month. Rent will be paid in full for the last month of employment even if the room is vacated before the end of the month.
Pets- No pets are allowed in the AMG housing or on the AMG property unless otherwise approved by management.
Program Equipment
Employees will be required to purchase a staff equipment kit could consist of but is not limited to: Black Diamond rain shell and softshell jacket embroidered with the company logo. The cost of the kit will be deducted from your paycheck mid-summer.
Additional Job Responsibilities
Employees may be called on to participate in a variety of activities associated with the climbing and adventure park sites and operation, as well as residential upkeep. Routine maintenance at the climbing and zip sites includes course and route inspections, maintenance and route cleaning, documentation of inspections, trail work, and area development. Daily operations also include vehicle cleaning and washing as well as other maintenance.
Employees may be called on to share driving responsibilities and potentially other part time office duties. Driving is an important part of the program and drivers will be expected to not only be safe and abide by all local and state driving regulations but also to be entertaining for our guests. The drive to and from the climbing/zip site is an opportunity to enhance the guest's experience by providing historical and interesting information about the city, its history, the beautiful outdoors surrounding us, and other types of trips and programs that the guests can participate in the future with AMG.
Standard Dress and Professional Appearance
Alaska Mountain Guides requires employees to maintain a professional image at all times. As outlined in the manual, you will be issued guiding equipment and clothing that will be required to be worn at all times while working. Personal pants will be neat and clean without stains, holes or other frayed areas.

JOB DESCRIPTION AMG operates a variety of trips for guests visiting Haines and Skagway, including a number of hiking and bus tours. The Hike & Bus Manager manages these programs and works closely with the Haines office staff and Haines Operations Manager. The Hike & Bus Manager is responsible for ensuring guest safety by making certain that guides adhere to all safety protocols and program procedures. ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Employees will be called on to participate in a variety of activities associated with the climbing and adventure park sites and operation, as well as residential upkeep. Routine maintenance at the climbing and zip sites includes course and route inspections, maintenance and route cleaning, documentation of inspections, trail work, and area development. Daily operations also include vehicle cleaning and washing as well as other maintenance.
Employees may be called on to share driving responsibilities and potentially other part time office duties. Driving is an important part of the program and guides will be expected to not only be safe and abide by all local and state driving regulations, but also to be entertaining for our guests. The drive to and from the climbing/zip site is an opportunity to enhance the guest's experience by providing historical and interesting information about the town, its history, the beautiful outdoors surrounding us, and other types of trips and programs that the guests can participate in within the AMG.
Employees may also be called on to participate in Haines-based long trip programs at any time. The opportunity to gather additional experience in any of these programs is a privilege. One of the key elements of the AMG and IWLS structure is the use of staff from Skagway for programs generally operating out of Haines. TRAINING
All new employees must participate in Guide School Courses provided through the International Wilderness Leadership School (IWLS) for your chosen discipline (rock, zip, rafting, etc.). IWLS is an accredited, recognized leader in experiential education. These courses will develop your technical, decision making, and leadership skills. Successful completion of these courses will grant you IWLS certifications. These skills are transferrable and can be used with any similar employer or even for recreational purposes. For over 30 years, our clients have been participating in the same courses - often gaining college credit.

LIVING SPACE AND RENT STRUCTURE
Employee housing is located in downtown Skagway. The grocery store and other attractions are within walking distance from housing. Accommodations consist of shared rooms typically 2-4 beds to a room, although the largest room is a 6-occupant bunkroom. Each house features shared bathrooms, a kitchen area, and living room. Employees residing in housing are expected to respect others and maintain a clean living area. Rent procedures are outlined in the Employee Manual. The two downtown houses share a large yard with mountain views, providing a fantastic base for our team.
Additional Notes
Rent deductions are made twice a month with 50% of the month's rent deducted from the 1st and 2nd paycheck.
Rent is prorated for the first month, rent for the last pay period will be deducted in full even if you vacate housing early.
There is limited space for people who drive to Skagway and wish to live in their vehicle. Additional info can be provided in an interview.

Part-time office responsibilities and coverage may be required for the position. ATV Program Manager reports to the Haines Program Manager and the Haines Program Assistant Manager.
Run a safe, efficient and high-quality ATV program.
Lead by example by portraying excellence in customer service. Be positive and outgoing.
Have good communication with office and guides.
Provide written weekly reports to the Haines Program Manager.
Responsible for being certain that all guides follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the Haines Guide Manual, Employee Manual and Emergency Response Manuals through delegation and direct management of the team.
Lead or assist in leading ATV program training. Training is generally 7 days but may be longer. Training will include passing the written CDL tests, learning the policies and procedures, learning maintenance protocols and learning emergency response protocols.
Work closely with and oversee the ATV Fleet Manager to ensure all maintenance is being completed efficiently and competently.
Time sheets and payroll - assist with TSheets (time card) review for the ATV staff.
Must immediately address any performance or safety issues with guides as they occur.
Ensure that all guides are portraying a professional image to guests and provide top level customer service.
Confirm that paperwork is correctly filled out and collected.
Ensure all emergency response equipment is correctly stationed, complete and up to date.
Provide feedback for mid-season and final evaluations.
Organize and verify completion of guide paperwork and waivers for each day.
Help create, modify, and strengthen systems associated with maintenance, guide performance and tour quality. Assist with modifications to ATV program manual on an as needed basis.
Identify road maintenance needs on the ATV route, and help coordinate with Haines Program Manager to staff and properly execute brush clearing, road repair, line of sight, etc…
Organize and manage season put-away of ATV program equipment.
Other duties as dictated by daily needs.

Work as an ATV as needed.
Assist with other jobs/projects as needed by AMG administration. This may include but is not limited to:
Driving vehicles with guests or with our equipment.
Cleaning/maintaining gear, vehicles and warehouse.
Assisting with grounds/lodging maintenance, cleaning and general support.
Road maintenance & repair - clearing of vegetation, shoveling, or other ATV route maintenance
Must at all times be clean, well groomed, courteous, honest and reliable.
Early to mid-June through late August is the height of the cruise ship season. In this period guides may be required to work up to 40+ hours/week. During the height of the season long periods of time off will likely not be able to be provided.
Employees may be called on to participate in other Haines programs at any time. This may include but is not limited to: hiking tours, golf tours, gear truck driving, CDL bus driving for other tours, vehicle maintenance, general driving duties, food prep, gear maintenance, and overall operational support.
The ability to be flexible with schedules and adapt to changes, sometimes with short notice, is a requirement and expectation of employment.
Have and maintain a Class B CDL with Passenger and Airbrakes endorsement.
Pass FMCSA required pre-employment drug tests & screening.
Be enrolled in an FMCSA required random drug testing program.
Have and maintain a valid Medical Examiner's Card.
LIVING SPACE AND RENT STRUCTURE
Camping and/or vehicle housing at our warehouse yard in Haines is available on a case by case basis for a nominal fee. Guides must register with the office in advance. Space will be given on a first-come-first-served basis and taking into account seniority.
Tour Description (What guests see)
Drive Kawasaki and Arctic Cat side-by-side ATVs into the Alaskan wilderness. Scenic mountain and river views with wildlife viewing opportunities abound. Your knowledgeable guide will meet you at the dock in Haines. A beautiful 26-mile drive along the National Scenic Byway and through the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve will bring you to our remote staging area.
At the staging area, you'll receive an orientation and safety briefing on our Kawasaki and Arctic Cat side-by-side ATVs from your guides. Guests wishing to drive must be at least 21 years old and bring a valid driver's license. There are a combination of 2-person and 4-person machines to accommodate varying group sizes and families. There are several spots along the tour where we can swap drivers to give everyone some time at the wheel. The ATVs are automatic transmission and drive similar to a car for ease of operation. These high-performance machines are fun to drive and a great way to explore the Alaska wilderness.
Over the next 12 miles of gravel road, your guide will lead you through a series of remote areas while you explore the wilds of Alaska! As you drive along beaver ponds and mountain meadows, you may spot swans, salmon, eagles, bears or moose along the way. You'll cross over Little Salmon creek and ascend to a series of viewpoints overlooking the Klehini, Tsirku and Chilkat River Valleys.
From the high point, you'll enjoy a picnic-style lunch while you bask in the surrounding mountain views. After lunch, you'll descend the mountain and make your way back to our private staging area before returning by bus back to Haines.
