Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, provides the solid academic education of a Lutheran school while also providing additional unique educational and professional opportunities, including internships and study abroad programs. Luther College's academics, in more than 60 majors and pre-professional and certificate programs, are awarded in such disciplines as: * Anthropology * Business * Classical Studies * Education * International Studies * Pre-Medicine * Pre-Seminary * Social Work * Theatre and Dance Students may also build their own interdisciplinary major, comprised of their own selected fields of interest. Luther's unique academic calendar gives students the opportunity to spend one term per year engaged in an internship or undertaking study abroad. College life gives students the opportunity to participate in such activities as: * Student clubs and organizations * Music ensembles * Theatre and Dance productions * Student Advocacy groups * Student publications * A student radio station Financial aid is provided through academic scholarships and need-based federal aid sources like work-study, grants and loans. Luther College will also further assist students who, after receiving their financial aid package, still require additional aid by supplying information on how to apply for outside scholarships. Admissions to Luther are competitive. Many admitted students have an ACT score between 24 and 20 and are in the top 25% or top 50% of their class.
