Primarily responsible for conducting routine inspections as well as responding promptly to requests for repairs and maintenance issues, ensuring a timely and efficient resolution to minimize disruptions.
Maintain and repair office equipment, including but not limited to copiers, printers, and other electronic devices.
Maintain cleanliness around trash receptacles and recycling stations.
Identify and report any safety hazards in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
Perform minor routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical work, and painting.
Keep track of maintenance supplies and equipment inventory. Coordinate with the procurement team for timely restocking.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.

* Completes pre-hire paperwork, reference checks, prior employment checks, and communicates with HR for applicant hiring.

PURPOSE: The Intact Family Services Supervisor directly supervises and supports the Intact Family Services Case Managers. This position ensures case management services are being provided to the highest standard within agency, state, and federal guidelines.
REPORTING STRUCTURE: Refer to the updated organizational chart for reporting structure and responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Supervises Intact Family Services Case Managers by developing internal monitoring, weekly supervision, and evaluation processes.
* Ensures effective and consistent communication occurs between the Intact Family Services Case Managers and all parties of the case and identified stakeholders, including medical, educational and mental health providers.
* Ensures Intact Family Services Case Managers conduct visits with children, parents and/or caregivers that include the on-going assessment of child safety, permanency and well-being.
* Ensures Intact Family Services Case Managers meet the requirements and service standards when facilitating delivery of services in collaboration with families and youth that adhere to agency, state, and federal policies/procedures
* Performs supervisory responsibilities in accordance with state and federal laws, Department of Children and Families Administrative Codes and Operating Procedures, funding source policies and internal policies on child abuse, abandonment, and neglect within required timeframes.

IPS Foster Parent Support Specialist Under the assigned supervisor, the IPS Foster Parent Support Specialist is responsible for working alongside the home-based crisis intervention program Intensive Placement Stabilization (IPS). To add an additional layer of support and advocacy for caregivers while receiving IPS services. Increasing collaboration with internal and external agencies serving youths and foster caregivers. The primary role is to empower caregivers to become positive leaders of their families so that they are better equipped to listen, nurture, communicate, and safely discipline. Duties include working with caregivers in identifying and achieving goals; promoting positive parent-child relationships and interactions; and reinforcing child development education. IPS FPSS works to increase caregivers' critical skills and behaviors that foster empathy, reinforce communication, support the caregiver with increasing their knowledge of available community resources, learn problem-solving strategies, and advocacy, and gain a sense of community. Along with increasing caregiver knowledge of DCFS functions and the Illinois child welfare system and foster parent rights and DCFS/OHU Licensing expectations. To support the IPS clinician who provides clinical psychoeducation, the FPSS worker will reinforce caregiver comprehension of trauma-focused parenting approaches and techniques, self-care and realistic expectations associated with the role of a foster parent.
General Duties and Responsibilities
Reports to the Child Abuse Hotline as directed by the Mandated Reporter Act.
The FPSS will provide exceptional customer service to parents, foster caregivers, referring case agencies, and other team members.
The FPSS will Maintain discretion, as they are entrusted with a client's personal information and knowledge of their unique situation. This confidentiality extends to ensuring client data is secure.
Reports any exposure to communicable diseases.
Submits expense vouchers, renewed driver's licenses, and automobile insurance coverage on the due date.
The FPSS will ensure weekly filing of all FPSS documents in client files.
Conducts frequent regional and all-state in-person and virtual team meetings with staff, referring case agency and community partners.
Participates in frequent agency management meetings and work groups.
Position requires lived experience in fostering youth or experience in foster care services
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The FSS provides an additional layer of support dedicated to foster caregivers; the individual is a former foster parent who is trained on the impact of trauma and is also trained in Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC) treatment.
The FSS works with IPS clinicians to provide mentorship for new foster caregivers, supporting the collaborative relationship between the IPS clinician and the family.
FPSS will consult with the IPS supervisor after receiving a referral from an IPS case manager or clinician.
The FPSS participates in IPS provider, school, clinical, and child and family team meetings with caregivers, providing emotional support and understanding along with advocacy with referring case and state agencies and community partners.
The FPSS conducts training on DCFS Rules and Procedures related to foster caregiver responsibilities for youth in care.
The FPSS conducts training on DCFS caregiver rights and processes associated with those rights.
The FPSS provides resources and will model with caregivers Prudent Parenting/Nurturing Parenting Techniques using a trauma/ARC lens.
The FPSS advocates for caregivers working with referring agencies and community providers.
The FPSS teaches foster caregivers how to advocate for themselves and for youths in their care when they must interface with larger systems.
The FPSS participates in quarterly trauma-informed parenting training groups offered by IPS clinicians to caregivers.
Assist in the assessment of foster caregivers via the utilization of the Childs and Needs Assessment Tool (CANS).
The FPSS will conduct weekly home visits and remote sessions with foster caregivers for the facilitation of services as deemed appropriate.
Provide onsite and virtual crisis support to foster caregivers as needed.
The FPSS develops and supports monthly foster parent support groups.
The FPSS will participate in weekly IPS Check-Ins with all state IPS and FPSS teams.
The FPSS will participate in Attachment, Regulation, and Competency training.

Description of Typical Work Schedule: Rotating 40 hour work week dependent on program monitoring and needs. Evening, overnight, & weekend shifts are required, flexibility in schedule is mandatory based on the needs of the neighborhoods and staffing. (Hours set based on necessity of department or office.)
PURPOSE: Milieu supervisors work directly with direct service staff within the therapeutic milieu to ensure trauma-informed mental health treatment services are provided to youth so they can transition to a less restrictive environment, such as returning home or going to a specialized foster home setting. Milieu supervisors work with training, clinical, and service coordination teams to ensure that youth's treatment within the therapeutic milieu is in line with all service recommendations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES are completed under the supervision of a QMHP (additional information can be found in 89 Ill. Adm. Code 140.453) and include the following. Some duties are shared, and others are assigned to one or more individual Unit Managers.
* Maintain a regular physical presence within the therapeutic milieu.
* Protect residents to ensure physical and emotional safety, to include mandated reporting of any observed or suspected incidents of child abuse or neglect.
* Ensure direct care staff adhere to policies and procedures, programming schedules, and trauma-informed interactions while providing therapeutic and scheduled activities.
* Trains, coaches, and engages in trauma informed de-escalation and crisis management.
* Model trauma-informed care and upmost professionalism with colleagues and youth at all times.
* Share in coordinated responsibility with the rest of the treatment center staff in deciding on modification and individualization of the treatment process.
* Assigns direct care staff duties, tracks for compliance, and holds accountable for outcomes.
* Ensure the program and direct service staff (MHPs and RSAs) are compliant with agency, DCFS, Medicaid and COA policies and procedures.
* Hold individual supervision sessions with each assigned employee on a regular interval and as needed, to include appropriate documentation of these sessions.
* Attend and actively participate in meetings with program and agency leadership, as well as with other members of the treatment team.
* Ensure staffing ratios are followed, moves staff assignments within milieus as needed to cover ratios as needed. Supplement the staffing ratio as required and must be able to perform all duties of a direct care staff member.
* Must successfully participate in a minimum of 24 hours of training annually. This includes safety, policy & procedures, trauma informed care.
* Attends and successfully completes TCI Train the Trainer Training. Meets all requirements to maintain status as a certified TCI Trainer. Provides TCI Training to program staff.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides direct supervision of direct care staff through in person observation, regular review of surveillance footage and one-on-one meetings.
