The rapid growth continued, and a new building addition was completed in December 1995.
In September 2002, the congregation began a year-long celebration of 50 years of ministry in the Levittown area with a special worship service and luncheon.
In 2002, Cross of Christ had a pivotal role in starting Rejoice Lutheran just north of Broomfield in Erie.
In September of 2006 our school continued to expand with the addition of a toddler program for students from ages 18 months to two years.
Volunteers have set up banners, folding chairs and a mobile stage to turn the gym into a sanctuary, a task tackled each Sunday since Lutheran Church of Hope Des Moines began in 2008.
In 2009, following a year and a half of careful discernment, prayer, and conversation, LCHope passed unanimously a Strategic Plan for Ministry, which guides the congregation in its vision and mission for ministry for the next 5-10 years.
Since 2009, LCHope has experienced stable growth in its ministries both outside and inside its walls.

A transformational new idea took root at the beginning of 2011 at Lutheran Church of Hope.
Phase 1 construction, dubbed ‘Renewing Hope’ was completed in the spring of 2012.
Currently, Hope West Des Moines designates nearly 30 percent of offerings from the congregation — about $3.3 million in 2013 — to outreach, church leaders said.
Hope Waukee launched in November 2014 with weekly worship at Shuler Elementary School in Clive led by Pat Quaid.
In 2015 the congregation underwent a series of staff changes.
Hope Ames launched in August 2017 with weekly worship at the Ames City Auditorium led by Danny Housholder.
For instance, the Advent Project for 2020 was called “Hope for the Frontlines,” with every dollar allocated to four local hospitals in Des Moines and Ames to provide resources for nurses, facilities staff, and hospital workers.
In 2022, under the current leadership of its staff and elected leaders, LCHope is conceptualizing new worship and accompanying spaces to be constructed in the next 1-3 years as a tool for ministry – to share and transform faith, hopes, and lives!
