Pay: * $19/hour The House Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily operations to ensure high-quality services are delivered to people supported. This role provides supervision, coaching, and mentorship to In Home Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), modeling person-centered practices and fostering an environment of mutual respect and teamwork. The PC ensures that each person supported has opportunities to grow, learn, and engage within their community while maintaining a safe and secure environment. We developed Intensive Community Residential Services (ICRS) in response to a need in our community for more options for individuals with complex needs. $2,000 Hiring Bonus!* Job Summary: Positive Support Specialists (PSS) work in our ICRS programs. These are highly specialized programs in which we serve individuals with intensive medical, behavioral and mental health needs. We utilize a person-centered approach to creating a program that focuses on supporting people to reach their goals, while still considering the safety of the individual, team members and the community. Consistency and routine are key factors in the proven success of these programs. Highly trained Positive Support Specialists will assist individuals both at home and the community to participate in events and activities that are meaningful to the individual. As a PSS team member, you will also: * Assist individuals to be more independent in performing essential life skills such as meal preparation, personal hygiene and navigating the community. * Advocate for the people supported in areas such as rights, medical care and in the community. * Complete necessary documentation and record-keeping every shift. * Manage crisis situations safely and effectively - this can include potential use of manual restraints. Candidates will receive training for Positive Behavioral Supports and manual restraints in conjunction with the 245D requirements. * Engage in trauma-informed care daily. Requirements: * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a variety of individuals. * Must physically be able to stand, squat, bend, or walk for long periods of time. The ability to lift 50 lbs. is necessary. * Knowledge of local community resources is a plus. * Must be cleared by a Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) background study and have a driver's license - a Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) is also required. Qualifications: * Minimum education is a high school diploma, but the preference is a degree in a field relevant to this role. * Minimum experience is 1-2 years of working with people with complex needs, but the preference is for 3-5 years of relevant experience * To be eligible for a hiring bonus you must meet the following requirements: * 40% FTE or greater * Remain up to date on all trainings * Maintain employment in good standing * Work all scheduled shifts

Pay: * $17/hour As an In-Home Direct Support Professional, you will provide guidance, encouragement, support, comfort, security, and safety through relationship building and direct interaction to individuals with disabilities. You will support individuals in their homes or within their community and assist in the development and monitoring of their individual plans, hopes, and dreams. You will support individuals in developing their essential living skills by maintaining/increasing their independence. You will be required to maintain documentation, perform record keeping, and participate in periodic meetings/trainings in accordance with regulations. Most importantly, you will need to have the advocacy skills that are expected of all staff that works for Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota (LSS). Qualifications and Requirements: * A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and a Motor Vehicle Check. * Successfully meet the requirements of a background check. * Successful completion of medication administration training. * Computer and math skills. * Able to read, write, solve problems, and accept/follow through with directions. * Good decision-making skills and the ability to respond to any emergency situations that may arise. * Able to recognize boundaries and exhibit patience, self-control, and flexibility. * CPR/First Aid certification is preferred (may be obtained after hire). Pay: * DSP pays $16.00/hour! * Upon completion of six months of consistent employment, there is an opportunity to obtain a wage increase up to $16.50/hour. Shifts: * Every other Saturday/Sunday 8am-3pm * Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 5:30am-8am and Saturday/Sunday 2pm-10pm * Every other Saturday 8am-5pm and Sunday 8am-1pm * Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 2:30pm-10pm * Saturday and Sunday 4pm-10pm As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at LSS you will: * Find purpose with our deep and meaningful work that has a person-centered approach to care. * Provide guidance and encouragement, while building purposeful relationships with your individuals. * Advocate for your individuals in all aspects of their life, including community engagement and support in essential living skills. * Maintain documentation, perform record keeping, and participate in periodic meetings/training according to regulations and LSS standards.
