Sara Greenstein is a purpose-driven executive and creator of sustainable value for employees, customers, shareholders and the environment. Armed with a strong sense of purpose, a desire to do good, and deep expertise in process, product, customers, safety and innovation, she has successfully led the transformation of several leading U.S. manufacturing and service companies, including UL (Underwriters Laboratories) and U.S. Steel.

In November 2019, Ms. Greenstein joined Lydall, a leading manufacturer of value-added engineered materials and specialty filtration solutions, as President & CEO. Under her leadership, Lydall has quickly pivoted to address the surge in demand for personal protective equipment driven by COVID-19. As one of the only companies in the U.S. and world capable of creating high-efficiency filtration media for N95 respirators, surgical masks and air filtration systems, the company is singularly focused on deploying its 150-year manufacturing experience to create critically needed products that protect both people and places.

Growing up on a farm in Illinois, Sara learned the importance of hard work and providing for your community at an early age - values that have shaped her professional life and leadership style. Today, she is just as comfortable in the wide-open fields of her home state as she is in the boardroom or on the shop floor at one of Lydall’s facilities across North America, Europe and China. When she’s not walking the halls of Lydall, Sara can be found at home with her husband, three children and recently adopted foster dog, Ruby.

Pros of working at Lydall, Inc.

Pay was good

Cons of working at Lydall, Inc.

Poor management, they won't get off their ass to help get the machine back up and running. But are always on your back about putting out parts. Also mandatory overtime every freaking week. 50 hrs a week plus 5 to 8 hours on Saturday.

Lydall, Inc. benefits

The pay was not bad

Pros of working at Lydall, Inc.

They payed well, thats about it

Cons of working at Lydall, Inc.

7 days a week constantly, the breaks are too Short and the heat is constant. Management and office staff are more concerned with productivity and less concerned with employee comfort and satisfaction. Money is their main concern and outcasting any employee who doesn’t fit in with their “do as I say and shut up” management style. I once witnessed the plant manager (Jim Edwards) being vulgar and demeaning to an employee and was not reported as it is normal for him to do at lydall Hamptonville. The management needs to be throughly investigated but the people are too afraid of losing employment to come forward.

Lydall, Inc. benefits

The only real perk is the pay and they sometimes have catered food, downside employees have to pay for catered food out of their own pocket and isn’t really a perk.
