1950

By the 1950's, M.C. Dean's roster of clients included the now Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Bolling Air Force Base, and the Naval Research Laboratory.

1952

In 1952, the firm created a non-union electrical apprenticeship program which continues to operate today as the largest of its kind in the Mid-Atlantic region.

1999

OpenBand of Virginia, LLC (OpenBand) is a wholly owned subsidiary of M.C. Dean founded in 1999 by company CEO, Bill Dean, and several key colleagues.

2003

In 2003 the firm entered the process and automation markets through its first business purchase of CIM Associates.

2004

M.C. Dean also expanded into the Georgia market in 2004 with the acquisition of The Tibs Group, an electrical, technology and power service company based out of Atlanta.

2005

In 2005, M.C. Dean continued expansion in the south with the acquisition of Aneco, an electrical construction, communication and data services company based in Clearwater, Florida.

2009

In 2009, M.C. Dean celebrated its 60th Anniversary as an industry expert and continues the tradition of "Building Intelligence" locally, nationally, and globally.

2010

Among these are the D.C. Workforce Investment Council, the D.C Apprenticeship Council and he served on the 2010 Board of the Washington Airports Task Force.

2011

In 2011, M.C. Dean, Inc. was ranked as the second-largest electrical contractor in the United States.
