    Corporate Development works closely with M&T's business units and senior management to ensure a coordinated and consistent approach to the merger and acquisition (M&A) process. This role primarily focuses on financial analysis in support of potential internal and external capital investment opportunities through valuation, risk assessment, and deal structuring; as well as, peer analysis regarding performance, merger-related activities, and capital actions, to assist senior management in implementing the bank's strategy. Primary Responsibilities: Assisting with the evaluation of potential M&A opportunities, including financial analysis, valuation, structuring, and coordination of due diligence efforts, which involve extensive interaction with various groups throughout the bank. Conducting financial and valuation analysis regarding acquisition, investment and divestiture opportunities using discounted cash flow analysis, market multiples, and other financial and analytical tools. Provides cross training/support to new team members Compile facts, analyze data and provide input into recommendations to management on findings/trends. Assist with the design of projects and may lead projects of moderate scope. Research and compile raw data from varied sources into moderately complex reports and schedules.     Serves as an analyst within Legal Document Processing under the guidance of management. Conducts quality control reviews of associate processes on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis. Monitors the regulatory landscape and assists in implementing new regulations in coordination with Compliance and Legal. Ensures a comprehensive and compliant approach to risk management. Manages system access requests across Legal Document Processing and completes quarterly recertifications. Provides training and mentorship to less experienced employees. Primary Responsibilities: Perform quality control reviews on associate and vendor processes for various workflows within Legal Document Processing; manage monthly reporting at both associate and process levels. Input quality control scores at associate and process level in department tracking logs. Serve as a mentor, provide guidance, and lead specialized training for new hires and less experienced employees. Collaborate with Compliance and/or Legal on new or updated laws, rules, and regulations. Complete quarterly system access recertifications as assigned. Provide required documentation for internal and external audits as requested; work with vendors to provide requested documents for audits as required. Facilitate monthly meetings with managers to evaluate quality performance and makes recommendations for improvement. Prepare and track remediation plans based on scorecard results for operational teams and vendors. Conduct non-routine analysis and judgment-based work relating to Legal Document Processing to support departmental decisions. Conduct non-routine data review, research and/or reconciliation for Legal Document Processing. Assist with escalations, coordinating with internal business partners, external vendors, and Technology to address issues and for Legal Document Processing. Lead and participate in planning, testing and implementing new projects, systems, products and regulatory changes impacting Legal Document Processing. Assist in drafting and/or edit procedures related to Legal Document Processing. Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management. Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
