This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and delivering excellent service directly to customers. Key Responsibilities * Diagnose and repair heavy equipment including hydraulics, powertrain, and electrical systems. * Perform field service calls in a timely and professional manner. * Complete service documentation including time logs, parts used, and maintenance records. * Maintain company-issued vehicle, tools, and equipment in safe, clean condition. * Ensure equipment is cleaned, greased, and ready for operation. * Follow safety procedures and participate in safety meetings. * Tag and store equipment properly when not in use. * Support special projects and assignments as needed. What You'll Need * High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred. * 3-5 years of experience in heavy equipment repair. * Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. * Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, database systems). * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. * Willingness to work overtime and weekends. * Valid driver's license with clean driving record (CDL may be required). * Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in outdoor environments. A Rental EPG Field Technician would perform maintenance and repair on Rental Power Generators, Air Compressors and HVAC . Responsibilities As a Think BIG student, you will: * Spend 8 weeks in school, learning theory and taking hands on courses in becoming a Caterpillar Dealership Technician * Spend the next 8 weeks at your local Caterpillar Dealer, doing a paid internship, putting theory that you've learned to real world situations * Overall the course will take 2 years to complete The course will take you through a variety of different tasks, including but not limited to: * Electronics * Diagnostics * Engines and Transmissions * Hydraulics * General Education, such as Mathematics, that supports the program The program will reimburse you for your per semester schooling cost, depending on your grades throughout that semester.
