Material Handling Experience: Proven ability to safely load, unload, and move materials within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Equipment Operation: Demonstrated proficiency in operating industrial forklifts. Experience with overhead cranes is also preferred.

Verify conformance of finished work piece to drawing and all specifications. Transfer heat number to machined part.

Sign work order and move LeanKit card to inspection.
Make proper labor and time reports.
Work in a clean and orderly fashion to maintain area standards of 5S.

MACHINIST:

Compensation:

Natural Gas Services Group, Inc. (NGSG) is seeking experienced Pipe/Vessel Welders to join our fabrication team in Catoosa, Oklahoma. This role is responsible for fitting and welding piping and pressure vessels used in natural gas compression, ensuring high-quality welds, and supporting a safe, efficient, and organized fabrication environment.
Location: Onsite in Catoosa, OK. Relocation assistance not provided.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
* Weld and fabricate pipe and pressure vessels in an industrial/fabrication environment in accordance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
* Perform welding using processes such as SMAW, GTAW, and FCAW; interpret welding symbols, blueprints, and written specifications.
* Fit, align, and secure components using appropriate measuring tools and fixtures to achieve accurate, high-quality welds.
* Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, beveling, and cleaning surfaces.
* Inspect welds visually and with measuring tools to verify quality and compliance with standards.
* Safely operate and maintain welding equipment, hand tools, power tools, and material-handling equipment such as forklifts and hoists.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies and OSHA requirements.
* Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to support production schedules and timely project completion.
* Follow all company safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and participation in safety meetings and training.
Minimum Qualifications
* Experience:
* At least 3 years of experience welding and fabricating pipe and pressure vessels in an industrial or fabrication environment.
* Technical Skills:
* Ability to pass a 6G MIG/FCAW welding test (welding tests must be scheduled).
* Proficient in welding processes such as SMAW, GTAW, and FCAW.
* Able to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and specifications.
* Skilled in surface preparation, measuring, fitting, and aligning components for precise welds.
* Experience using hand tools, power tools, and material-handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, hoists).
* Safety & Compliance:
* Working knowledge of safety procedures, proper PPE use, and compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
* Other Requirements:
* Reliable daily transportation to the Catoosa, Oklahoma facility (relocation assistance is not provided).
* Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, MVR check (if driving company vehicles is required), drug screening, and physical exam, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
The Pipe/Vessel Welder role is performed in a fabrication shop and requires the ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation, including:
* Standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and working on elevated surfaces for extended periods (up to 10 hours per shift).
* Frequently lifting and carrying materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
* Using full-body movement, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination to position components, weld, and operate tools and equipment safely.
* Sufficient visual acuity to read blueprints, measure components, and inspect welds for quality and accuracy.
* Tolerating exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, fumes, and other typical fabrication shop conditions.
* Wearing required PPE, which may include welding helmets/hoods, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, flame-resistant clothing, and safety footwear.

- Diagnose/ troubleshoot and repair minor issues associated with production equipment with limited supervision
- Possess a working knowledge of process equipment, separation, flow, etc.
