Key Responsibilities
Safely and efficiently load milk products onto trailers using proper equipment and techniques.

Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance of trucks and equipment.

Requirements
Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement.
Minimum age: 23 years old.
Minimum 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
At least 1 year of liquid tanker experience is required.
No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
Clean MVR (No more than 2 moving vehicle violations in the past 3 years)
Ability to obtain and maintain a Milk Handler Certification.
Current Medical Card and the ability to meet insurability requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with ELDs (Electronic Logging Devices) and Hours-of-Service requirements.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to drop and hook trailers efficiently.

Develops professional goals for the summer that will help support and meet GSWNY's mission and camp goals.
Assist in administering first aid under the standing order of camp physician and or health supervisor.
Help the health supervisor in assuring that the health safety plan and the communicable disease plan is carried out safely and effectively for all campers and staff.
Provides first aid in case of an accident and follows physician standing orders or health supervisor in case of illness.
Helps to maintains accurate records, in bound notebook of all sick calls.
Assist in maintaining and securing confidentiality of all health forms in compliance with HIPAA. The Health Supervisor and the Camp Director/Director of Camp Administration have the only access to these securely locked medical records. Decisions to release medical information to other staff members will be based on the camper's needs and parents' authorization.
Models and teaches good health practices for all staff and campers.
Supplies and maintains first aid kits for specified areas in camp and for out of camp trips and hikes.
Screens incoming campers for any illnesses, infections, bruises, rashes and other health concerns.
Assist in notifying the appropriate staff members of camper allergies, medications and health concerns, which include the Head Cook and Unit Counselors.
Works with the Health Supervisor in carrying out the established system for health screening for arriving campers and staff, as well as a system for health screening for trips out-of-camp.
Conducts an inventory of supplies and places orders when necessary, ensuring the timely arrival of supplies.
Participate in and lead specific areas of staff training pertaining to camp health and safety, including, but not limited to standard precautions, how to administer aid and what type of aid needs more then general first aid.
Responsible for the safety and well-being of campers and staff while in the infirmary.
Responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized infirmary at all times.
Expected to stay on camp property while camp is in session, including pre-camp training and overnights.
Participates in camp activities when possible and helps with pre-camp training, open house and closing camp.
Apply behavior management techniques to conflicts with children.
Reports incidents/accidents to supervisor immediately.
Report suspected child abuse to supervisor immediately.
Accepts other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Health Supervisor and or Camp Director

POSITION SUMMARY:
To assist in the implementing of safe and effective usage of the ropes course elements and equipment. Actual salary will be based on applicant's experience
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Must attend, participate in and successfully demonstrate required skills during pre-season mandatory ropes course facilitator training in June (date and location to be determined)
Develops professional goals for the summer that will help support and meet GSWNY's mission and camp goals.
Follow GSUSA, ACCT, ACA and NYSDOH standards and regulations.
Teach games, initiative and introductory activities to participants.
Teach participants about each element, including proper use and safety procedures.
Assist in developing and implementing a progression of activities for campers who have registered for ropes course programs.
Provide campers with attainable challenges on the ropes course.
Reports any accidents/incidents to supervisor or health supervisor.
Ensures the proper use and care of all equipment, including recording in ropes log book.
Lead by example.
Emphasize safety.
Conduct daily inspections of equipment for safety, cleanliness and good repair.
Assist in maintaining daily records of equipment in the Ropes Course Equipment Log.
Participates in all aspects of camp including pre-camp, open house and post camp.
When not acting as Ropes Course Counselor will live in tent/cabin unit as Unit Counselor and will assist in all unit activities. (female staff only)
Attend staff meetings when scheduled/necessary.
Apply behavior management techniques to conflicts with children when necessary.
Report suspected child abuse to supervisor immediately.
Required to stay on the property during hours of operation (Sunday 10:00 to Friday 8:00pm)
