What Does A Machine Adjuster Do At Jarden Corporation

* Maintain machine settings at recommended tolerance levels and monitor all instruments, gauges, fluid levels and conduct preventive maintenance such as oiling, parts inspection and replacement
* Perform minor machine maintenance repairs and contact maintenance personnel when necessary
* Assist the maintenance personnel with all machine repairs
* Load machines with component parts such as hang tabs, tear bands, closure seals and other materials as needed
* Coordinate maintenance activities and downtime with team members
* Coordinate necessary production materials with floor person and team members complying with documentation such as the follower and bill of materials
* Train other operators on operating procedures and standards
* Direct work in the work cell in the absence of a team lead or supervisor

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Include the following, other duties may be assigned) Perform adjustments related with machine settings, tools and times.
* Analyses part measurements to determine adjustments needed.
* Read blueprints to ensure dimensional conformance of parts.
* Reviews measurement reports to assess product conformity and necessary corrections.
* Perform re-works on machine and off machine.
* Ensure that the documentation is correct including quantities and other records including previous operations.
* Promptly perform booking operations and ensures reported quantities are correct.
* Use of hand tools such as files and hand reamers to de-bur parts while maintaining product conformity.
* Perform visual inspections to identify issues as early in the production process as possible.
* Train operators on visual inspection details.
* Assist Supervisors with operator training activities.
* Help with workflow by identifying bottlenecks and promptly communicating status with supervisors.
* Maintain a high level of safety and cleanliness in the manufacturing area.
* Communicate with shift supervisor and/or machine adjusters potential issues that could affect product quality and/or safety including equipment and product issues.
* Communicate with other machine adjusters and operators at shift change relevant information that helps prevent mistakes or expedite production process.
* Flexible work schedule.
* Must be present in regular attendance

* Changes the machine from one style and size envelope to the other styles and sizes with the least amount of downtime.
* Maintains the quality of the product being manufactured.
* This includes folding, printing, gumming, latexing, and any other attachments being put on the envelope.
* Seeks appropriate approvals (OK's) on every job that is manufactured on the equipment.
* Gathers all of the necessary parts and attachments at the machine prior to the time of a machine change, where it is practical to reduce downtime.
