The position:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Maintenance Technician for (2nd shift) to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC equipment. Typical hours are Monday - Friday, 4:20pm to 2:50am. This shift offers a 10% shift differential. Must be available for overtime including weekends and during peak production times shifts will be extended to 10-hour shifts.


Job duties:
-Perform scheduled maintenance of production equipment
-Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of CNC production equipment during production
-Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make machine adjustments
-Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment
-Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work area


The Right Person/What we need from you:
-Strong mechanical aptitude and maintenance skill set - written skill assessment required
-Two or more years of manufacturing maintenance experience in CNC machine tool repair is preferred
-Strong troubleshooting skills
-Highly motivated and able to work independently
-Team player with positive outlook
-Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times
-Basic computer skills required
-2 years applicable maintenance training
-2+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience in CNC machine tool repair in a Fanuc systems environment
-Must be able to read and write English

Safely troubleshoots and performs repairs on machinery, electrical, and mechanical facility equipment in compliance with all company policies. Performs preventative maintenance on manufacturing tools and machinery and performs procedures or repairs to the facility.
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance duties on production equipment. Trouble shoot equipment problems on mechanical, electrical and pneumatic equipment. Adjust, repair, and replace component like belts, cables, wheels, pulleys, gearboxes, sprockets, chains, bearings, guide rollers, pneumatic cylinders, AC/DC electrical motor, drives, and other related equipment. Uses test and diagnostic equipment such as multi-meters and infrared thermometers to identify root cause of problems and put corrective actions in place. Understand basic electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Maintain and perform troubleshooting on electrical and mechanical systems, printer applicators, motors, photo-eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, VFD s, motor staters, control panels, encoders, etc. Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC s), Servo Drives, PC Controllers and HMI s. Able to perform a wide range of facilities maintenance and repair projects and duties in support of production needs. HVAC experience a plus. Familiar with spray type coating systems. Understand spray guns, fluid pumps, fluid lines, fittings, regulators, valves, and proportioners used in fluid delivery. Perform and track work tickets and preventative maintenance tasks. Use a variety of hand, power and pneumatic tools. Work safely and follow company safety rules and procedures. Perform installation and maintenance on machinery including but not limited to: Saws, Routers, Sanders, CNC Equipment and general facility maintenance. Maintains critical spares and consumables inventory. Rebuilds equipment and subassemblies as required. Work with outside vendors as required. Performs machine operations, visual inspections, and, as needed, some post-processing of parts Supports manufacturing management to identify, initiate and install new manufacturing processes which streamline and improves the functions of the department. Monitors, evaluates and advises Manufacturing Management as to the health and performance of the machines and other equipment used in performing the job. Performs special projects and assignments as directed by supervisor.

Summary of Key Responsibilities
Assist in production setup, production changeovers, machine maintenance, fixing, new machine installation, and development of preventive maintenance. Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and corrective maintenance requirements. Equipment and tools include motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, coupling, and motor alignment, roller chain/sprockets alignment, conveyor systems, and production machines. Read and consult diagrams. Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; and using precisions measuring tools. Remove defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools. Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to resolve inventory levels; anticipating needs. Controls downtime by advising production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. Fabricate repair using available resources and equipment as needed to accomplish job results. Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks. Operate industrial machinery to move machines, parts, and tools. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations. Perform other duties as assigned.
