What Does A Machine Operater Do At Lisi Aerospace

* Other duties may be assigned.
* Reasonable accommodation for disabilities may be made for one or more of the following:
* Performs basic sets up and operates up to three automatic machines to produce parts according to blueprints, router package, specifications and/or special instructions.
* Recognizes and detects machine out-of-tolerance and adjust controls or control media as required.
* Performs basic trial runs to check accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
* Checks parts for conformance to specifications using gauges, SPC and shop floor system.
* Recognizes and remedies minor machine malfunctioning and in-process inspections.
* Major discrepancies are reported to lead or supervisor.
* Determines and performs proper feed and speed combinations.
* Provide necessary information to Manufacturing team, Engineering Team or others to document procedures and drawings.
* Performs work operations under supervision
* Checks tooling and reworks as needed to keep machine running.
* Lays out parts for successive and continuous machining operations.
* Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards, by following blueprints or work instructions.
* Performs record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and follows all safety regulations.
* Responsible for complying with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government, LISI Aerospace, and HSE Procedures.
* Responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements, and safe operating procedures at all times.
* Required to bring any known or suspected nonconformance for all company procedures or legal requirements to management’s attention immediately.
* Continually seek opportunities to improve our HSE performance by establishing objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting our results.
* Works under recommended waste elimination initiatives specifically related to the manufacturing production function such as recycling opportunities to elimination or minimize production waste.
* Performs a variety of other related duties as assigned.
