Job responsibility: Start time for the Machine Operator position is 4AM, Monday-Friday (must be flexible with start and end times). Perform a quality check on finished product appearance. Daily inspection of the machine to make sure it is working properly, and no parts are missing or broken. Communicate with maintenance if there is an immediate problem, otherwise complete a maintenance request form with the Production Manager. Verify that the correct product label and code date is on the container. Immediately discard any extra labels. If count is short double check new labels for correct product and code date. Ensure that the membrane seal is intact on each container and perform a test to make sure that the seal is being applied correctly. Verify that the heat seal temperature is correct. Document all information for each salad packed on the Machine Operator Checklist daily and turn in to the Production Office. Conduct metal detector calibration checks and immediately report any issues to QA. Competencies: Ability to follow established procedures. Must ensure their own safe and clean work environment.
