As a Converter, you will operate a machine to scan and rewind various lengths of material such as PTFE and silicone-coated fiberglass cloth and other PTFE and silicone-coated products and slit materials into various lengths.
What You'll Do
Mount roll of material on machine shafts, re-roll and inspect material while rewinding, and measure material to desire lengths.
Start machine and observe flow of material through machine to detect irregular cutting and winding.
Responsible for maintenance and some repairs of rewind machine.
Operate slitter, placing correct dimensions and specification into the computer.
Fill orders for zone tape, sponge, and tubing.
Clean and maintain work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
Inventory management of materials and finished goods in the converting area
Correctly completes all inventory transactions in the ERP system.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform basic maintenance (blade changes, lubrication). Report equipment issues and write work notifications. Assist with preventive maintenance.
General Support: Clean work areas, assist other line roles, and follow all safety, GMP, HACCP, CTS, and SQF protocols.

Job Description
The MachineOperator may be assigned to the embossing, sealing, or inspection departments to support the needs of the business. In this role, you will be assigned to one of three shifts (1st Shift, 2nd Shift, or 3rd Shift). The shift schedules are Monday-Friday and the hours for each are as follows: 1st Shift 7:00am-3:30pm, 2nd Shift 3:00pm-11:30pm, 3rd Shift 11:00pm-7:30am. *3rd shift Monday starts at 11:00pm Sunday night. Training for this position will take place on 1st Shift. You must be able to complete your training on 1st Shift before moving to 2nd Shift or 3rd Shift. Overtime opportunities are regularly available, depending on the needs of the business.

4-day work week, Mon-Thur, with occasional voluntary overtime.

Essential Duties
Operate various production machines will learning to set-up and troubleshoot each, including: grinders, beltsanders, presses, and basic CNC machines, etc.
Load and unload high volumes of metal parts efficiently. Move parts bins on and off pallets.
Visually inspect parts and learn to use basic inspection tools.
Read and follow verbal and written instructions to identify and produce work.
Accurately record production into computer.
Participate in continual improvement teams and activities.
Comply with all safety requirements including but not limited to good housekeeping.
Very reliable and punctual work attendance.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent plus hands-on mechanical aptitude and skills.
Experience in manufacturing ideal but any mechanically related experience with basic math skills may qualify.
Must be able to understand spoken and written English well; bilingual Spanish ideal.

What you will be doing:
* A Mixer/Scaler is an entry level role in our bakery and a valuable member of the production team focused on safely and consistently producing the highest quality product possible for customers.
