Prinsco has an opportunity for motivated Production / Manufacturing Assistants in Fargo, ND on all shifts! This position starts at $17.50. 1st shift is 7AM to 3PM. 2nd shift is 3PM-11PM (with a $2/hr differential) and 3rd shift is 11PM-7AM (with a $3/hr differential)
This is a great opportunity to learn and grow in a safe manufacturing environment, including:
Roll plastic pipe onto coiling machine, tie with twine and transport rolls/bundles to assigned staging area.
Verify that finished goods meet Prinsco s quality standards, identifying and reporting defects or improper machine operations immediately.
Assist other employees and cross-train in various production procedures and items.

We require the following qualifications:
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required with a minimum of six months of manufacturing or production (Prinsco preferred) experience.
Effective communication skills with the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out various instructions.
Ability to work in a loud noise environment; lift up to 25 pounds consistently and 75 pounds occasionally; use hands and reach with hands/arms, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for up to 2/3 of the workday; and good distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), peripheral vision and depth perception.

Machine Operator Assistant Pay: $21-24/hour

• +$2/hour for night shift
• Guaranteed 8 hours overtime pay every 2 weeks but only work 84 hours!!

Machine Operator Assistant Job Overview: The Printing Press Machine Operator Assistant will assist the Press Operator in setting up and running of an 8 or 10 color Flexographic Printing press.

Machine Operator Assistant 12 Hour Rotating Shifts:

• 7 days off every 2 weeks!!
  • Work 3 days week 1 (36 hours)
  • Work 4 days week 2 (48 hours)
• Guaranteed 8 hours overtime pay every 2 weeks but only work 84 hours!!
• 2 Shifts Available:
  • Day Shift 6am-6:10pm
  • Night Shift 6pm-6:10am
• Work every other weekend

Machine Operator Assistant Key Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 year experience running machines similar to as described below
• Able to work rotating 12 hour shifts (3 days week 1, 4 days week 2) and work every other weekend
• Work hours beyond the normal workday based on the demands of the business cycle, customer volume of business
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic
• Willing to stand most of the shift, able to lift up to 75lbs occasionally

Machine Operator Assistant Key Job Duties (Training program designed to help you succeed ):

• Assist the Press Operator in setting up and running of an 8 or 10 color Flexographic Printing press
• Load and unload roll on machine, must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Load and unload print sleeves
• Check ink viscosity and clean print station and ink pumps
• Assemble and adjust doctor blade chamber
• Able to take direction and follow Press Operator needs
• Maintain Housekeeping standards and work safely at all times

Essential Functions:

To perform this job optimally, an individual must perform each crucial duty satisfactorily. Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Understand and apply customer specifications to the operation of the machine to ensure finished goods align with customer requirements.
• Program and supervise computerized operating panel. Calculate and resolve accurate core size, roll diameters, required footage and perforation.
• Initiate set up, operations, and adjustments of the rewinder and all down-stream equipment to achieve established production quota.
• Program log saw and clamp product in log saw. Settle and verify cut accuracy and adjust as needed.
• Perform hourly quality checks to ensure accuracy of production run and the submittal of daily quality reports to QA department.
• Monitors and performs product changeovers in conjunction with the Rapid Changeover Technicians (RCO Techs).
• Adjust embossing unit and change core chuck as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Learn/perform basic machine maintenance and setup
• Excellent attention to detail
• Must be willing to learn and be trained in new methods and processes
• Must be able to work day and night shift
