Responsibilities:
Operate excavators, dozers, and other heavy machinery proficiently.
Perform pipe work for water, sewer, and drainage systems, including large-diameter pipes and box culverts.
Execute blue-top grading, base stabilization, and maintain depth between hubs.
Conduct daily equipment checks (fluid levels, etc.) upon arrival and departure.
Requirements:

IFG is a growing company with 5 sawmills in northern Idaho and a reputation for high quality products. Our Lewiston mill is undergoing an extensive rebuild to include a state of the art saw line, merchandising facility and planer.
The Utility Machine Operator is an entry level position responsible for cleanup and operating machine centers in the sawmill and planer departments. This position will train on various machine centers gaining skills which provide opportunities for advancement.
Essential Functions
Cleaning work areas removing saw dust, wood and debris
Use of motorized equipment to transfer waste to designated area
Use of hand tools to clean area, broom, shovel, rake, etc.
Use air hose to clean machines free of dust and debris
Monitors waste product conveyor to ensure material is transferred to designated area
Keep work area clean - cleanup during any down time
Comprehend and perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations
Comprehend and comply with Job Safety Analysis
Train as a relief operator, becoming proficient on machine centers and fill in as needed
Learn the lockout steps for each machine operated
Basic machine maintenance
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be safety conscious, self-directed and team oriented
Willing to work various shifts including nights and weekends
Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
