Summary

Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery.
Must be able to report progress to the production supervisor in their department.

* Must be able to communicate effectively with other machinists and supervisors, as well as attend regular training sessions for updates on equipment use. May provide training to team members on relevant industry processes and equipment operations safety.
* Must be self-sufficient and work well with minimal supervision and must be able to detect and correct program errors in a timely fashion.
* Follow directions, SOP's, and documented protocols.
* Properly and safely load and unload raw materials in machinery, as well as change out tools as required. Must have experience calibrating calipers and micrometers. Ability to use other small tools.
* Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery.
* Must be able to report progress to the production supervisor in their department.
What is required for the role:
* High School Diploma/GED equivalent
* Minimum 2 years of industrial equipment experience
* Computer Literate and Knowledgeable about tools and tooling
* Able to utilize small hand tools, Powered Industrial Trucks, or other lift mechanisms.
* Fluent in written and spoken English.
* Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds without strain and needs to have a Quality First attitude and a strong team spirit to help keep equipment running within process specifications.
* Must stand for several hours at a time while performing their main job functions

Sets up and operates conventional, special purpose machines to deburr and polish metallic parts by performing the following duties:
Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, accessories, and materials on machines such as turn tables and polishing machines.
Verifies dimensions and alignment of fixtures and assemblies.
Sets up and operatesmachine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings.
Utilizes abrasives, sanders, grinders and other hand tools to deburr and finish product to customer specifications.
Performs taping and masking processes of product for subsequent sandblast and machiningoperations.
