Purpose of the Job
Operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently to meet production schedules, ensure product accuracy, and maintain high quality standards. This role independently sets up and operatesmachinery used for cutting, slitting, pressing, center-seaming, and processing belting materials, ensuring all orders meet specification requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesEquipment Operation & Production
Set up and operate fabrication equipment such as cutters, slitters, seamers, press machinery, and automatic cutting tables.
Maintain tight tolerances and verify accurate measurements.
Process various belting and Transilon materials per work order and quality standards.
Inspect completed work for accuracy and route orders to the next workstation, stock, or shipping.
Properly pack belts and accessory items to prevent damage during shipping.
Load and unload incoming/outgoing shipments as required.
Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment (certification required).
Quality & Safety
Follow all safety procedures to prevent injuries and protect equipment.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Report material defects, equipment issues, and quality concerns promptly.
Collaboration
Work closely with supervisors, Quality Control, Shipping, Inventory, and other departments.
Support additional areas such as Warehouse or Postal as needed.
