Job Summary:
Operates grind machinery or utilizes equipment to produce components to specified dimensions and characteristics according to quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate 2 required internal/external grinding machines, including CNC machines, to produce a diversified range of parts on short or long run work, and exacting finish specifications. Follow established procedures, verbal instructions, and information obtained from set-up cards and layout sheets (certified process or engineered cycles) to ensure parts are manufactured as ordered. Inprocess readings to ensure adherence to tolerance.
Set up machinery or equipment to perform job tasks, including adding or removing parts, to create the correct tool to manufacture the parts in accordance with the Shop Order. Use micrometers, verniers, optical comparator, microscope, and a variety of fixed and adjustable gauges to set-up equipment and check work.
Diagnose and correct operating difficulties, maintain required records, detect and report unusual conditions to assigned leader.
Keep work area clean and orderly, observing all safety rules and regulations, and conforming to OSHA regulations.
Move materials, parts, and containers, as required, to complete job duties.

The Role
Join our team as a Shell Robot Operator and look forward to receiving training to play a crucial role in ensuring parts are perfectly prepared and customer specifications are met with precision and efficiency!
As a Shell Robot Operator, you will be responsible for operating robotic systems used in applying ceramic coatings to wax patterns. This role is essential in ensuring parts meet critical customer specifications. You'll be trained in all aspects of the process, with opportunities to grow and cross-train within the Shell Room.
As a Shell Robot Operator, you will:
- Operate Robotic Shell equipment following documented SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Prepare Molds and Wax assemblies for coating
- Inspect parts during and after shelling for quality and adherence to customer specification
- Mix and replenish slurry tanks according to specifications

SUMMARY
To safely and effectively operate all Machinery and Equipment in the Secondary Production Department by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Operate various Machining, Assembly, Printing and Finishing Machines and Equipment per
M.O.I.'s. Machines such as, Presses, Milling Machines, Laser Welders, Laser Cutters, Spot Welders, Printers, Tweaking Tools etc...
Perform gauging and visual inspections per M.O.I.'s.
Fill out required paperwork (Followers, Inspection Ticket, etc.).
Maintain on organized, clean and safe work environment and follow 6S standards.
Properly follow all safety procedures and policies. Use correct P.P.E.
Participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor. May be assigned to work in other departments.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for own work and not normally required to direct or supervise other personnel, but may occasionally instruct or show another employee how to perform the work.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY Duties are generally prioritized, allowing employee to perform independently, with intermittent close supervision, in conformance with written instructions, established schedules, and pre-determined priorities. Problems not clearly defined by written directives or instructions are reviewed with supervisor to determine course of action.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
