Deburr part, assemble parts, weld rivet, Double Disc, Notch the nose, and repeat the cycle. Check parts with gauges provided and record finding on charts. Make all adjustments necessary to ensure parts stay within specified control limits. Simultaneous set-up and operation of multiple machines is required due to long cycle times. Keep coolant and oil levels at the proper levels and concentrations. After hardening is done, check handle alignment and straighten if needed. Check joint tensions and adjust as needed. Weigh gage as needed. Check handle spread and gage as needed. Check nose gap and gage as needed. Rope cut pliers following standard procedures. Re-file as needed. Needle Nose pliers must have the nose adjusted to meet Quality standards. Cell operators will be required to learn all of the jobs that are performed within the work cell. Complete appropriate paperwork and maintain 5S requirements. Qualifications: Requires some initiative and ingenuity to achieve the proper goals. Essential Job Functions - but not limited to the following: * Performs a variety of -skilled duties to support the manufacturing production process and/or plant and equipment maintenance, including hand worker, assembler, tool grinding, indicating stands, straightening presses, shot-blast, production welding processes, grinding ingots, billets, forge stock and production pieces. * Operates overhead cranes and/or radio-controlled cranes when and where required and/or assigned. * Utilize electrode tempering furnaces to heat treat ingot electrodes. * Work will include assignments in all machining processes and related manufacturing support and service areas. * Operates forklifts, man lifts, and all other types of industrial vehicles and equipment. * Performs all work following plant safety rules. * Maintains the highest quality standards in the execution of all assigned work. * Maintains all reports and recordkeeping as required including inventory control. * Capable of reading blueprints * Performs routine preventative maintenance on all machines as required. * Maintains housekeeping in all work areas. * Performs other routine labor work as assigned and as required following production flow and/or plant needs. Regular attendance as scheduled is an essential function.
