**Available Positions:**

1. **Palletizer** : 3rd shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM - **$17.76 p/h**

2. **Forklift Operator** : Rotating (2 days on, 3 days off; 3 on, 2 off) 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM - **$17.26 p/h**

**REQUIREMENTS:** Ability to read, write, and communicate in English at a level to facilitate the understanding of the terminology of the job. Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or verbal procedures or instructions. Have basic math skills. Have basic mechanical skills. Ability to work safely. Ability to lift 25 lbs repetitiously and the ability to kneel, bend over, squat, stoop, and carry. Ability to work in a warm and dusty environment. Ability to organize and plan ahead to maximize job efficiency.

**Education and/or Experience** : High School graduate or equivalent required.

**Fontanini,** located in McCook, IL just outside of Chicago, is seeking **Machine Operators with our 2nd shift operations** . The ideal candidate will have experience working in a food manufacturing environment.

**Position Summary: Machine Operators** are responsible for tear down, setup, and operating equipment in an efficient and safe manner.

**Position Responsibilities:**

+ Maintain an acceptable standard of output and quality from assigned equipment.

+ Verify correct product and packaging specifications for each production run.

+ Assist in other areas when needed to keep line running efficiently.

+ Communicate with line personnel on a regular basis to maintain line efficiency.

+ Trouble shoot and discover problem areas quickly and make minor adjustments to equipmentto maintain efficiency and quality.

+ Log equipment downtime and assist in line changeovers.

+ Observe and report any major equipment issues to supervisor.

+ Follow people safety rules, standard operating procedures, and good manufacturing practices.

+ Assist in all other duties assigned by supervisor and/or management.

**Qualifications:**

+ Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting preferably food manufacturing.

+ Understanding of GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices).

+ Ability to read labels requirements.

+ Ability to perform essential functions of the job per job workstations.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Machine Operator Responsibilities:

• Ability to use basic Mechanical tools
• Basic troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of extrusion blow molding, injection blow molding or stretch blow molding
• Experience making adjustments to production equipment processes to change material distribution, weights, heights, and other physical properties/dimensions
• Knowledge of mold change procedures and steps/methods for line changes
• Experience with Husky, Sidel, Uniloy, Bekum, Aoki, Akei, Nissei, Rocheleau, Fisher, One Blow, HDPE, PET or similar machinery or resin
• Entry level Machine Operator Trainees should have a steady work history with mechanical or manufacturing experience and a willingness to learn.

Clamp Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate Clamp Forklift Truck for staging and movement of product from production floor
• Prepare products and materials for shipment
• Load and unload product
• Track and record units of materials handled
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures
• Maintain the cleanliness of each regrind room
• Empty the air bags on day bins daily
• Resolve any material line malfunction by taking appropriate action and troubleshooting vacuum problems.
• Continuously monitor virgin day bin and change rail-car compartments as needed, to insure that each compartment is completely empty.
• During rail-car exchange (pickup/drop-off) properly shut down vacuum pumps and disconnect all vacuum hoses, and lower the flag on the spur. Once the cars are in place, raise the flag and reconnect the vacuum hoses and restart pumps.
• Check vacuum pump filters once per shift every day.
• Change the machine hopper filters daily.
• Change blow back filters daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Hours:
2nd Shift Clamp and Machine Operator: 3:00pm-11:00pm

3rd Shift Machine Operator: 11:00pm-7:00am
