Key Responsibilities:

About the role
The Packaging Technical Operator serves as primary operator and owner of assigned work center responsible for setting up, operating and adjusting packaging equipment in order to meet short and long-term safety, quality, production and continuous improvement targets; oversee and perform set up, adjustments, troubleshooting and operation of packaging equipment to routinely achieve production and quality standards while following GMPs, SOPs and standard work documentation on work center; and assist with training of others; maintain detailed documentation.

* Ensure, through direct performance and the contribution of others, the cleaning, change over, set up, troubleshooting, and maintenance of equipment in support of effective operations in accordance with required timeframes and cGMP documents, standard work documents, and other instructional materials.
* Ensure, through direct performance and the contributions of others, the execution of basic equipment adjustments and minor repairs during production runs; perform independently all tasks and duties that require intermediate mechanical or technical skills to include replacing worn or non-functioning parts and assist in rebuilding and modifying equipment; coordinate and schedule preventative and predictive maintenance and repair activities; escalate issues to technical teams appropriately.
* Participate with autonomous maintenance activities on assigned work center as required by cGMP documents, standard work documents and other instructional materials; participate in procedure development, revision, and documentation.
* Continuously monitor equipment and staging areas to identify and resolve equipment and/or material issues that could slow production or affect quality or safety; continuously monitor supplies and materials for supplier quality issues; use transporting equipment safely; assist in maintaining inventory to ensure that supplies are used wisely and; within parameters; continually seek to reduce waste and unnecessary costs associated with misuse or waste of consumables, supplies and other items.
* Accurately maintain documentation related to equipment operations, cleanings, calibrations, adjustments and troubleshooting for GMP documents, equipment logs, cleaning logs, Tier 1 boards, and all other required records used to track equipment/parts activity and status for activities performed; ensure accuracy and timeliness of record keeping by crew members by monitoring entries and providing timely and effective coaching and feedback.
* Ensure proper escalation of issues to management for resolution; and maintain training compliance in the Learning Management System.
* Own and actively participate with skill development driving to ability to independently operate and perform work in three distinct work centers as outlined in the Operators Career Path.

About the role

Participate with autonomous maintenance activities on assigned work center as required by cGMP documents, standard work documents and other instructional materials; participate in procedure development, revision, and documentation.
Continuously monitor equipment and staging areas to identify and resolve equipment and/or material issues that could slow production or affect quality or safety; continuously monitor supplies and materials for supplier quality issues; use transporting equipment safely; assist in maintaining inventory to ensure that supplies are used wisely and; within parameters; continually seek to reduce waste and unnecessary costs associated with misuse or waste of consumables, supplies and other items.
Accurately maintain documentation related to equipment operations, cleanings, calibrations, adjustments and troubleshooting for GMP documents, equipment logs, cleaning logs, Tier 1 boards, and all other required records used to track equipment/parts activity and status for activities performed; ensure accuracy and timeliness of record keeping by crew members by monitoring entries and providing timely and effective coaching and feedback.
Ensure proper escalation of issues to management for resolution; and maintain training compliance in the Learning Management System.
Own and actively participate with skill development driving to ability to independently operate and perform work in three distinct work centers as outlined in the Operators Career Path.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Set up, adjust, and operate MBO folding machines according to job specifications and production schedules.
Perform machine changeovers and adjustments for various paper sizes, folds, and job types.
Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout each run, making mechanical or control adjustments as needed.
Troubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
Complete quality checks to ensure folded materials meet required standards and specifications.
Maintain accurate production and maintenance records.
Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance on equipment.
Work collaboratively with other production team members to meet daily goals.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Brief Summary
The primary responsibility of the Saw Operator is to cut shafts per blueprint to meet customer requirements such as length, diameter, and angle cuts. The Saw Operator will also operator a forklift and conveyors to supply multiple production lines. The Saw Operator will communicate regularly with Material Handlers, Quality Assurance, Dispatchers, Set Up Operators, and Leads to help ensures production requirements are met.
Essential Functions:
· Set up and operate a saw to cut shafts per blueprint to meet customer requirements
· Use a standard and O.D. tape measure, miracle point, and standard levels to ensure accurate lengths, diameters, and angle cuts
· Look up part locations using IFS and issue materials to shop orders
· Operate a forklift as needed to transfer material and deliver product
· Assist with seam repair on production line
· Ability to weld sleeves/fixtures to poles
· Actively participate in department LEAN activities as required
· Use necessary PPE and conform to all Valmont safety policies and procedures
· Maintain a clean and orderly work area
· Assist assembly lines as needed when workload is caught up
· All other duties as assigned by Shop Leadership
Required Qualifications
· Ability to make mathematical calculations in preparing product or setting up the machinery
· Have or able to obtain a GMAW 1 GR welding certification
· Ability to pass a LOTO certification training
· Must be able to read, understand and use a standard and O.D. tape measure, micrometer, protractor
· Must possess acceptable work history and attendance record
· Ability to read and decipher blueprints without assistance and use them to properly process scheduled work
· Ability to work overtime when required for business needs
· The ability to be forklift certified within first 90 days of the job
· The ability to learn inventory locations for obtaining material to assist Material Handlers
· Passion and integrity with the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
