Objective of Position: Regularly perform tasks for a 12 hour period to maintain optimum operation, with minimum down time of equipment and produce high quality product in a safe efficient manner while maintaining good housekeeping of assigned production line. Safety: Safety is a condition of employment at Genpak. The Utility will be responsible for individual compliance with all safety rules, regulations and policy procedures. Employee responsibilities include but are not limited to: Compliance with all facility safety rules and regulations. Reporting any unsafe practices and/or conditions to their supervisor. Maintaining floor safety discipline by interceding with fellow Associates, who may engage in rule violations and/or unsafe, unhealthy activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Check material box levels (color, additives, crystal, regrind) at the beginning of each Shift. 30 minutes Periodically check material flow, troubleshoot and resolve issues. 30 minutes Assist with bringing supplies and materials to the production line. (i.e., boxes, pallets, bulk bins, film and other supplies required to package product). 30 minutes Label weigh, store all regrind and raw materials at designated areas. 30 minutes Assist with relieving other Associates for breaks. 3 associates plus himself x 75 minutes = 300 / 60 = 5 hours Remove all trash and cardboard from the packing area by the end of shift. 45 minutes Grind scrap sheet and bad product accumulated. Varies in time base on how the lines or running. 1 hour Assist the Line Operator in starting the line. 30 minutes Assist with maintaining good housekeeping of the line, replacing oil pads on the forming station and around the Trimpress. 1 hour Assist with cleaning the grinder pit. 15 minutes Assist with making material line connections/disconnections. Unstopping lines. 30 minutes Assist with monitoring material handling systems. 1 hour Cleaning blender filters, monitor and empty outside pump cyclones on SL 3. 1 Setup and breakdown Gaylord boxes. 15 minutes Clean blending room daily. 2 rooms. 30 minutes And other tasks as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Remove and install wire drawer die per specifications on the production order. Roll full bobbins/spools of wire (300-600 lbs. each) with diameter specified on the production order into pallets for transportation to stranding positions. Load empty spools onto a spindle. String up machine with rod by manually pointing down the rod to fit through each stage die and drawing the wire down to the desired diameter as per the production specifications. Check wire size by weight using computer ISQ system. Monitor footage at take-up to determine if footage of core specified in the production order has been reached. During operation check for rod coils for near empty coils and complete transfer to new coil. Ensure that a new coil is ready, welded, and properly positioned for transfer from the empty coil. Ensure that assigned work area adheres to 6S principles. Make set-up/change overs to minimize time constraints associated with returning the line to production with minimum down time. Read, understand, and carry out oral and written instructions including work orders, scrap tickets, job lot tickets, graphs, logs, schedules, raw material labels and general product labels, etc. Observe and read instruments, gauges, and dials to determine operating conditions. Read and interpret specifications and production orders. Prepare detailed reports and records listing production date, keeping inventory records, and operating logs. Inspect, examine, and observe for product and equipment defects. Use simple arithmetic to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Use measuring devices such as pin gauges, micrometers, calipers where reading and interpretation is required. Operate hoists, cranes, fork truck, power and non-power tools. Follow safety procedures.
