A combustion technician safely and efficiently operates the equipment to maintain the desired output. The combustion process within the confines of the desired area must be controlled while the combustion equipment output changes in response to load demands. Technician set up shall meet basic requirements of combustion control to meet the requirements regulating the quantities of fuel and air while achieving optimum combustion and maintaining safe conditions for operators and equipment. Furnace and remote field setup designs vary as to the function, heating duty, type of fuel and method of introducing combustion air. The technician sets up the furnace, or the confines of the desired area, to create the desired amount of heat in accordance with the proper procedure.
