The operator will be expected to perform his/her job duties safely and with attention to the execution of all tasks with efficiency and quality. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Set ups, tear downs, operates and cleans extrusion machines and ancillary equipment within supplied specification. Performs moisture analysis on raw materials and ensures utmost quality of extruded product by performing quality inspections using a variety of measurement equipment including, but not limited to: Pin gauges Micrometers Verniers Video microscopes Laser micrometers Troubleshoots extrusion issues as needed. All other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. Required Qualifications: 3 years of manufacturing/machine operator experience preferred. Willing to train mechanically inclined candidates. Must be able to read, apply and train others on documented work instructions. Must be able to perform basic math and use basic tools, such as ruler, calculator, etc. Must possess ability to calculate the tooling necessary for new single lumen extrusions, run time, part weights and raw material required for order Reads and interprets customer and internal product specifications and prints Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Advanced related technical schooling Physical Requirements: Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, and/ or walk for prolonged periods of time. Must possess fine hand motor skills to handle small manufacturing tools, QC tools and fine product.
