The following position is responsible for the grinding process in the manufacturing cycle. The work assigned is based upon the individual's training, experience, and ability. The roll grinder is expected to perform the requirements of the job per the Standard Operating Procedures and specific job Instructions recorded on the job router. The Supervisor may assign specific equipment or other tasks at the supervisor's discretion.
Job Duties:
Reading and interpreting production schedules, job router cards, blueprints, non-conformance reports, and any other materials that summarize requirements for the grinding of rubber rolls.
Locating and retrieving rolls to the grinding production area utilizing overhead cranes and various materials handling equipment.
Preparing the individual rolls for installation in the grinding equipment, utilizing knives to trim back rubber from the rollers prior to installing the rollers into the equipment, cleaning steel surfaces of rollers using hand or mechanical equipment, cleaning steel surfaces of rollers using hand or mechanical equipment, such as die-grinders or sheet abrasive/polishing materials.
Setting the grinding equipment, installing special grinding wheels or attachments, adjusting and setting tooling on tool posts, installing live-centers, chucks centers, extensions, dogs, etc.
Aligning the rollers in the equipment to meet all dimensional requirements of job order. This includes adjustment for taper, TIR, roller surface finish, and finish dimensions.
Measure all required dimensions and understand the relationship of the dimensions to the specific requirements of the job.
Utilize all inspection and measurement equipment per procedure and instruction, including durometer gauges, pi-tapes, P&J gauges, micrometers, vernier diameter tapes, dial indicators, profilometers, temperature-indicating devices, and others as needed.
Complete the grinding operation and inspect the finished product to ensure that all requirements are met.
Complete all necessary paperwork, inspection reports, job router information, and operator sign-off on job.
Clean all metal and rubber surfaces prior to protective wrapping.
Unload the grinding equipment safely and without damage or harm to personnel, equipment or finished product.
Deliver the finished product to a designated storage area or shipping container.

Intermediate bulk container setups, filler installation (hopper, filler block, nozzles), and secondary packaging setups (cartoner, case packer). Assembles nozzles, piping, filters, hose connections, and ancillary equipment. Operates packaging equipment, including pumps, plate followers, heaters, and uses automated packaging equipment to fill cosmetics and personal care products from bulk materials to finished products. Utilizes MKBS to maintain a record of scrap and downtime on the production line. Responsible for maintaining 6S, workplace organization, and cleanliness practices on the line.
* Follows safety precautions to prevent product contamination and injury to self and others. Assists in meeting departmental production objectives and contributes to performance improvement initiatives within team to simplifying and standardizing work processes and promoting teamwork and self-discipline. Promotes continuous improvement by proactively sharing ideas and issues with management to assist in eliminating waste, improving productivity, and promoting safety. As a MachineOperator II, you will support the Team Lead in leading and motivating line crew to meet production goals.

Brief Description: The Manual MachineOperator is responsible for operating and maintaining manual machinery, including mills, lathes, and other equipment, to produce precision components. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards in manufacturing by adhering to engineering specifications, safety protocols, and company procedures.
The Manual MachineOperator works under the direction of and will report to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
Detailed Description:
* Operate manual mills, lathes, grinders, and other non-CNC machinery to produce precision parts according to technical specifications.
* Perform welding and deburring tasks as required to meet product specifications and quality standards.
* Interpret and follow blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and bit documentation to ensure accurate machining and assembly.
* Set up and align machinery, ensuring proper tool selection and installation for each job.
* Use various measuring equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to inspect and verify dimensions of finished products.
* Apply basic mathematical concepts, including geometry and trigonometry, to calculate dimensions and tolerances.
* Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and efficiency.
* Maintain a clean and organized personal workstation, ensuring tools and equipment are in good working order.
* Follow all safety and quality policies to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
* Perform routine maintenance on manual machines to ensure their optimal performance and minimize downtime.
* Identify and troubleshoot issues with machines, tooling, or workpieces, escalating complex problems to supervisors when necessary.
* Collaborate with team members to identify and implement opportunities for process improvement.
* Perform other shop duties as required to support manufacturing operations.
Job Requirements:
* Proficiency in operating and maintaining manual mills, lathes, and related equipment.
* Ability to interpret and work from technical blueprints, schematics, and documentation.
* Familiarity with measuring tools and quality assurance processes.
* Basic welding and deburring skills.
* Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity to handle precision work.
* Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with peers and supervisors.
* Basic math skills, including geometry and trigonometry, to calculate dimensions and tolerances.
* Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Minimum Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or GED.
* 6 months of experience operating manual mills and lathes or welding with similar experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of machine shop safety standards and best practices.
* Familiarity with basic maintenance and troubleshooting of manual machinery.
Additional Details:
The Manual MachineOperator must work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others including coworkers and third parties. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to travel to wind farms across the country, with all accommodation and travel expenses fully covered by the Company. You will be performing inspections, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on wind turbines - ensuring peak performance and safety standards are met.
GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) and GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART) Full certifications will be required to undertake the role.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Maintenance and operation of robotic systems used for cleaning, inspection, and repair of wind turbines.
Performing routine inspections on turbines to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
Preventative maintenance on wind turbines and associated systems to reduce downtime and maximize energy production.
Fault diagnosis and resolution of technical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and technology.
Reporting and documentation of work completed, including identifying issues, repairs, and maintenance performed.
Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and industry standards.
