Job Title: Production/Process Equipment Operator II
Employment Type: 12-month contract
Monday through Thursday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Pay rate: $22/Hr.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent is required.

* Operates the label machines properly and efficiently in order to meet production deadlines according to the daily job schedule.

Position Scope/Summary:
The primary purpose of this job is to operatemachines used in the production of the organization's product. May be involved in equipment/process and set-up. Has proficiency in a range of procedures and/or equipment and the ability to complete tasks with little or no assistance.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
• Adheres to Company Core Beliefs and all safety and quality requirements.• Set up and operation of the precision metal tube drawing bull wheel process to produce product that meets quality specifications.• Performance must be maintained at acceptable levels and displayed by using the light system process.• Read and follow technical specifications, maintenance instructions and procedures.• Applies expertise within discipline, completes tasks and assignments and provides solutions to problems with some latitude for independent judgment.• Follow established documentation for product manufacturing.• Receive customer supplied and/or purchased materials, including proper labeling, handling and movement of materials and paperwork.• Document all work performed on production documents and receiving/shipping documents or computer systems.• Performs in-process inspection of all parts and/or assemblies in accordance with the requirements stated in the work order or as otherwise stated on drawings or work instructions.• Performs visual inspection both unaided and using magnification devices.• Performs various dimensional inspection using specific dies or gauges, or dimensional inspection systems and micrometers.• Maintain the segregation of conforming vs. non-conforming product.• Partner with engineering to establish and/or improve current processes.• Participate in Operational Excellence activities and/or teams.• Weekday/weekend OT is frequently required to meet business needs.• Mandatory OT may be implemented and applied as business necessitates with appropriate notice.• Performs additional duties as required.
Education & Experience:
• Minimum Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Technical or vocational schooling preferred.• Minimum Experience: 3 years company related work experience and/or 4+ years experience operatingmachinery in a manufacturing environment; medical device experience preferred.• Proficient with basic mathematics.
Knowledge & Skills:
• Special Skills: Ability to work with small precision parts.• Specialized Knowledge: In depth knowledge of drawings and blueprints with ability to interpret information.• Ability to use precision measurement equipment.
Environmental Working Conditions:
• Use of personal protective equipment such as but not limited to safety glasses, goggles, gloves, and other equipment as required in company policies and safe work procedures• Working with cutting & machining fluids, solvents, lubricants and other chemicals using appropriate safety controls.• Use of lift assist devices and safety devices where available at/on equipment is a must.• Lifting of material up to 50 pounds.• Frequent pushing and pulling of material up to 12 hours per day.• Frequent carrying, bending, standing, sitting up to 12 hours per day.• Frequent reaching and grabbing of material.• Requirement to attend safety training, participate in safety committee and hazard analysis and resolution as conditions warrant.

About the Position:
The MachineOperator is responsible for operating Meat processing equipment and high-speed packaging lines in the production room. This individual must possess knowledge of assembling and disassembling various machines and ensuring all equipment runs efficiently throughout the shift. Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Operate processing machines/equipment and ensure each is running efficiently throughout the
production shift
Assemble and disassemble machine(s) as necessary and understand when adjustments are
needed
Oversee a staff of 8-12 employees and ensure work is completed efficiently and effectively during the shift
Supervise, analyze, and resolve work problems or give assistance to Production Associates to
resolve issues/obstacles that may arise during normal production
Oversee the operation of production machinery and packaging lines including changing of film, changing of labels, and product changes.
Immediately corrects or report any production problems during a shift to the Supervisor
Involved with all production planning and coordination to ensure orders are filled properly,
promptly each day
Responsible for ensuring packaging lines are operating at the expected OEE run rates and report
this in Redzone & to the Supervisor when not attainable.
Create maintenance work orders when maintenance support is needed.
Create Actions in Redzone when support is needed to fix a machine, repair the facility, or any quality concerns that affect the operation.
Report and assign downtime in Redzone for the packaging lines to ensure Hourly OEE is accurate.
Ensure the Outfeed packaging lines have the correct PLU labels by SKU and the packaging
associates are packing at the expected run rate of the packaging line. \
Maintain the highest standards for all raw materials and equipment - preparation for production
readiness and inspection
Maintain working knowledge, awareness, and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices
Ensure proper communication, training, and compliance to all safety policies and procedures,
including but not limited to proper use of PPEs, safe ergonomic practices, and proper/safe
handling of food products
Ensure Production Associates follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating
procedures to manufacture quality products
Ensure the product is properly processed while adhering to Standard Operating Procedures and
Customer Specifications.
Ensuring high-quality product standards, meeting organizational quality expectations.
Ensuring high-quality production efficiency.
Working with supervisors to maintain adequate staff coverage

Essity Manufacturing Professional Hygiene North America is currently recruiting for a 2nd shift MachineOperator. This position will be based at our manufacturing facility in Bordentown, NJ. 2nd shift operating hours are 3:30pm-12am M-F.

What You Will Do
Demonstrate personal safety and help maintain a safe work environment for themselves and fellow members of the production team.

Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignments.

Produce the required amount of product within established specifications and tolerances.

Daily documentation and maintain logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.

Coordinate and communicate with production teams (on all shifts) about daily production plan.
Focus on continually improving the workflow of the area.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
