Responsibilities
Your Role:
As an Extrusion Operator, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring a blown film extrusion line to ensure consistent film quality, production efficiency, and adherence to safety standards. You will identify and resolve issues such as equipment malfunctions, process variations, or quality concerns to minimize downtime and maintain smooth, reliable production in a fast-paced packaging environment.

Ensure compliance with GMP's, Safety, Quality Procedures and keep Productivity Standards
Operate assigned Extrusion Machines at required rate
Start and stop machines as needed
Perform general set-up, change-over, and shut-down tasks
Monitor all extrusion and winding machinery operations continuously for quality and efficiencies
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical machine problems and make adjustments to correct issues
Perform necessary adjustments to maintain and/or improve product quality
Maintain run efficiencies established for the line and products
Perform quality checks at prescribed intervals
Complete paperwork including Operator logs, Quality Checks, and other required forms
Communicate any health and safety, hygiene, quality, and efficiency issues to the supervisor promptly
Perform minor PMs as needed
Maintain housekeeping around assigned operations
Follow company safety procedures and policies
Assist other operators as needed
Communicate production information both written and verbally
Perform all other assigned duties

Requirements

The Finishing Window Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining high-speed carton windowing equipment used in the finishing department. This role ensures that folding cartons are accurately fitted and glued with plastic film windows according to job specifications, quality standards, and production schedules. The operator plays a key part in keeping customer orders on time while minimizing waste and downtime.
About the Role:
As our Finishing Window Machine Operator, you will:
Set up and adjust windowing machines for each production run.
Load paperboard blanks and window film rolls, aligning them to meet job requirements.
Calibrate glue application systems and placement guides to ensure accuracy.
Perform quality checks during runs to verify registration, glue adhesion, and film placement.
Production & Quality
Run jobs at target speeds while maintaining quality standards.
Inspect product for defects such as misaligned windows, glue overflow, scratches, or wrinkles in film.
Complete all production and quality documentation, recording counts, downtime, and waste.
Collaborate with quality control and finishing teams to resolve issues quickly.
Maintenance & Safety
Perform routine preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and part replacement.
Troubleshoot and correct minor mechanical or electrical issues to keep production moving.
Follow all plant safety protocols, including lockout/tagout, PPE usage, and housekeeping.
Teamwork & Communication
Work with feeders, packers, and helpers to maximize machine efficiency.
Communicate with supervisors about production status, material needs, and mechanical issues.
Support training of apprentices or new team members when needed.
About You:

Primary Responsibilities

Operate and maintain state-of-the-art optical sorting machinery to ensure product quality and consistency.

Travel Assignments (Nationwide):
Safely drive a company-owned non-CDL box truck to deliver specialized sorting equipment to customer sites.

Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform adjustments, and complete field maintenance tasks.
Represent PolyClean professionally with customers, adapting to schedules that may last 1-6+ weeks. Balance independent decision-making with strong communication back to the management team.
QualificationsMechanical aptitude and comfort working with industrial equipment. Valid driver's license and ability to operate a non-CDL box truck.
Willingness to travel nationwide during lower production periods (overnight stays required).

What we're looking for:
We are looking for a Machine Operator I who will be responsible for fabricating products using proper tools and machines. Fabricates various types of products and components, meeting defined production schedules. Perform basic and advanced operator preventative maintenance tasks. Operate and/or use related machinery, equipment, and tools necessary to complete assembly / parts fabrication to specifications, which include hoists, slings, grinders (portable & bench), drills, presses, punches, saws, bending machines, tape measure, hand tools, etc. This role would include any required professional certification (e.g. welder), higher level programming skills (e.g. CNC equipment) and/or ability to make complex tooling/process adjustments.

Essential Physical/Environmental Requirements:
