In this role, you will set-up, operate and verify the quality of work on assigned machine(s) in a manner which will consistently meet production standards and qualifications. These machines include moulders, copes, beam saws, Onsrud, CNC, or tenoners.
The level for each machineoperator is determined by management based on the ability to train others and number of machines the operator can run while meeting production standards and quality requirements.
Salary: $24.60-$29.40 per hour (rate includes 20% shift differential), pay based on experience

Job Summary:
A MachineOperator is responsible for direct cutter operations, is the contact person for the production related issues on the Cutters in Finishing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide work direction and assistance to Cutter operations with trouble shooting on the cutter equipment to correct problems and educate the operators.
* Perform ok's and job sample checks for other operators.
* Develop new ways to improve productivity and operations efficiency of Finishing equipment.
* Train employees in cutter operations in best practices to ensure cutter equipment is operating efficiently.
* Ability to operate a second piece of equipment as needed.
* Perform basic and advanced setup of machines.
* Sort mail using postal sort marks.
* Read and follow job ticket / run list instructions (run list, sign off, MDI).
* Perform all Quality Assurance processes consistently (continuities, sign offs, samples, etc.).
* Troubleshoot moderate to complex Machine/Product issues efficiently
* Coach/mentor other Inserter Operators.
* Follow all established processes associated with the operation of the equipment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Regulate factors such as composition of solids, and temperature; adjust depending on the type of product to be produced.
Taking frequent readings and logging variables.
Unloading check on chemicals upon delivery.
Operating Clean in Place (CIP) procedures; troubleshoot and maintain machinery.
Operate and clean all the pieces of dairy processing equipment that is involved with the department.
Communicate well between supervisor, other shifts and departments.
Verify quality control items such as product weights and samples.
Maintain proper documentation in all formats of recordkeeping.
Operate various machines at an efficient level to fulfill plant demands.
Assist coworkers with tasks and duties that are within the department as assigned.
