Record and maintain data related to downtime, including amount of time, reason for downtime and actions to correct the problem. Keep all waste and scrap levels within company guidelines. Record and maintain production data such as meter readings, quantities, types, and dimensions of materials produced. Assist thermoforming operations with packing material, inspecting product, and troubleshooting when necessary. Notify supervisors when produced materials fail to meet standards. Keep work areas clean, organized and free of debris to maintain a safe facility. Follow all HACCP and good manufacturing practices (GMP's). Follows environmental and safety regulations and acts in compliance with US laws. Requirements Must have prior experience as an Extruder in plastics industry (blow molding, injection molding, etc). Knowledge of Extrusion process (particularly to produce extruded sheet) Knowledge of Thermoforming Machinery Process Knowledge of material batch blending systems (particularly loss in weight systems) Ability to perform small Electrical / Mechanical maintenance independently Superior trouble shooting skills Quick learning aptitude Strong math skills (measurements, percentages, calculate footage) Mechanical aptitude Methodical / structured approach to troubleshooting.
