As part of the Maintenance and Facilities Team in Muskegon, Machine Repair supports manufacturing and facility asset performance. The role requires mastery of preventive, problem solving, machine repair and machine improvement skills to support a variety of CNC machining and automation asset types.
Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

* Execute corrective and preventive tasks as requested by maintenance work order system. Work includes production machinery repair and facilities maintenance and repair.
* Troubleshoot and lead problem solving efforts.
* Track machinery spare parts inventory.
* Use and improve standard work procedures for operating and maintaining CNC/automated machinery.
* Modify/retrofit current equipment to function as desired for safe and efficient use.

Qualifications/Requirements:

* 5 years minimum experience in automated machinery repair, design, build and assembly, including experience with VFDs CNC, PLC, servo loop controls.
* Journeyman certification, Journeyman Level Skills or an associate's degree in an industrial, manufacturing or technology related field.
* Effective oral and written communicator.
* Strong Work Ethic/self-motivated
* Working knowledge of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems
* Ability to work with minimal supervision and cooperate in a team environment
* Must possess mastery of the tools and equipment required to safely perform mechanical and electronic repair work including: Volt Ohm Meter, oscilloscope, megger, soldering equipment, calibration equipment and basic machine tools.

This is a UAW represented position with starting pay of $31.86 per hour increasing to $32.43 after 90 day successful probation period, plus a 14% shift premium while on third shift. The Machine Repair Technician will have an extensive understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics to effectively detect and resolve issues with electrical and mechanical components. Duties include, but are not limited to:
+ Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all Manual and CNC machine tool equipment.

+ Must have troubleshooting experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic components (motors, ball screws, spindle heads, gearboxes, pumps, cylinder, and hose.

+ Must have CNC operational experience with Mazatrol, Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Allen Bradley PLC's.
