Starting pay for Machine Repair position is $34.48 per hour and will receive contractual increases as outlined in the contract. The Machine Repair duties include: * Responsible for the mechanical performance of line and standard production output * Diagnoses or troubleshoots machines or equipment to determine malfunctions and the need for adjustment or repair. * Performs mechanical repairs and maintenance on various types of equipment. * Lubricates and cleans parts, installs, moves, sets-up and operates all types of equipment and machine tools. * Performs any dismantling, fitting or assembly work required for maintenance. * Reads blue prints, sketches, machine parts or specifications to determine type and dimensions of stock required. Job Requirements Safety oriented. 3+ years experience as maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment. Ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds. Must be experienced in maintenance and repair of production machines and equipment. Must be available to work 12 hour shifts. Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check. The starting rate for this position is $43.60 with pay increases to the top rate upon completion of three consecutive months of employment. Qualifications Candidates must have completed a bona fide apprenticeship, or have 8 years of previous experience, or have a combination of previous work experience and training equivalent to a bona fide apprenticeship program in the trade. Knowledge of machine mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, gauge/fixture movement, blueprint reading, (welding and fabrication) operation of machine tools used to make, modify and/or repair machine components. Experienced in maintaining and repairing (presses-CNC Machines,) robots, and (secondary) automated equipment, and will be knowledgeable in (electrical,) mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic disciplines.
