General Summary

The general duties and major areas of responsibilities of the Field Machining technicians can be broken down into the following stages.
Review of client job scope.Compliance with all safety procedures and job documentation.Accountability of job equipment and tooling prior to arriving job site.Achieve or exceed client quality expectations.Accomplish or exceed client production expectations.
The Field Machinist is responsible for the set up and operation of a wide variety of portable machine tools to perform on-site machine work and repairs on location at client work sites.
Primary role is to execute field machining operations in accordance with the approved site and company procedures.
The technician is directly responsible for the execution of services in accordance with the requirements of the site and TEAM process and procedures.
The technician undertakes the training and development to continuously improve their skills and levels of competence and knowledge.
Trained and competent technicians will be required to lead technicians of a lesser on job sites.

Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to TEAM's Core Values.Performs field machining services on client work sites performing any of the following duties:Pipe cutting and beveling Flange resurfacing Drilling and tapping Milling motor or pump bases Line boring Key-way cutting Shaft turning Metal disintegration bolt removal Identifies circumstances that necessitate the use of proper safety procedures and equipment.Documents all field machining service activities as required.High school diploma or equivalent preferred. The incumbent's position will consist of but not limited to operating the following pieces of equipment or processes: NC Lathes, NC/CNC Turning, Drills, Saws, Hard-Boring, Broaching, Hob, Hone, Shaper, Tooth Rounder and possibly Fork Trucks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Report to work on time and per your work schedule. Punctual and regular attendance is an essential job duty.
Set up and operate the above operations efficiently with written operational instructions.
Will be expected to perform fixture changes/adjustments and replace consumable tooling and apply Operator Process Control training to statistically monitor and maintain quality within the established capabilities of each operation.
Responsible to maintain levels of production safely, efficiently and within the prescribed cycle times established on set-up instruction sheets.
Perform minor maintenance, material handling, safety, administrative, and other functions as required to maintain customer satisfaction.
Perform other requested functions related to plant operations as customer requirements and production demands dictate. Position requirements are subject to change based on product or manufacturing changes and revisions or refinements in equipment, technology, processes, developments, systems, policies, programs, customer requirements, etc.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma/GED equivalent
Machinist I diploma or 2 years related machining experience in a machine shop, including OPC/SPC and CNC training and/or experience required; and must achieve a passing score on written and practical machining examination.
Must have a working knowledge of metal working as it relates to machining, a thorough knowledge of precision measurement equipment used in today's metal working industries, the ability to read machining blueprints and process sheets, including good knowledge of the attached American National Standard Geometric Characteristic Symbols for Engineering Drawings, and the ability to successfully perform functions 1 through 8 on the attached NC/CNC MACHINE OPERATION sheet.

Key Responsibilities
Perform all duties in a safe and collaborative manner and immediately report any potentially dangerous conditions or other safety concerns to the supervisor Shuts down equipment in accordance with operation's requirements, company safety procedures and OSHA requirements for machine activation and shutdown Performs daily autonomous maintenance on manufacturing machines Perform basic mechanical maintenance tasks in a safe, efficient manner Inspect for defects, misalignment, wear, insufficient lubrication and determine best process for making repairs with limited interruption to production Maintain tools and work area in a safe, neat, and secure manner Maintain daily work logs and update equipment and component records, and if applicable, electronic Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Maintain preventative maintenance and lubrication schedules Diagnose and repair activities with detailed working procedures Determines materials, replacement parts, and tools/parts needed to proceed with logical approach to repairs and maintenance

Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required Technical or professional certification preferred and/or completion of an appropriate apprenticeship program6 to 12 months of mechanical maintenance in lieu of education or degree is acceptable

Knowledge and Skills
Basic mechanical skills Understanding of preventative maintenance process Ability to operate machines and hand-tools relevant to a manufacturing environment Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems and take initiative to correct or seek immediate assistance Ability to assemble and disassemble equipment Ability to read and follow equipment manufacturer's specifications, circuits,etc
