Primary Responsibilities
Serve as the senior technical authority for all radar system variants delivered under the program.
Lead cross-functional engineering teams including systems, RF hardware, software, signal processing, cybersecurity, and integration/test engineers.

Support developmental and operational test planning with the Air Force Test Center (AFTC), AFOTEC, and other stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical field plus minimum of 20+ years of experience in radar system development or equivalent DoD sensor programs, with an additional 5+ years as a Chief Engineer or senior technical leader or Maser's degree Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical field plus minimum of 15+ years of experience in radar system development or equivalent DoD sensor programs, with an additional 5+ years as a Chief Engineer or senior technical leader
Deep understanding of USAF acquisition processes and system engineering standards (e.g., MIL-STD-881, DoDI 5000 series, AFLCMC guidance).
Proven experience leading multifunctional engineering teams on large-scale defense programs.

At Sigmatech, we're in search of a Mechanical Engineer who can thrive both independently and within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary engineering team, guiding projects through their entire life cycle. Your daily tasks will adapt to the evolving needs of assigned programs, encompassing everything from requirements definition and design to analysis, technical data package development, manufacturing support, integration, and testing.
This role offers the chance to engage directly with customers across multiple fast-paced programs, supporting ARMY, SPACE and other Department of Defense clients. You'll play a pivotal role in the success of these programs, with ample opportunities to grow and contribute your expertise.
As a Mechanical Engineer at Sigmatech, you'll take on key responsibilities in leading the technical execution of projects involving diverse engineering teams. Working closely with customers and internal program managers, you'll help define expectations, schedules, and project goals. Utilizing your proficiency in advanced CAD programs such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or PTC Creo, you'll detail designs and conduct necessary analyses to ensure the airworthiness of developed solutions.
This role offers exposure to the full design and development process, empowering you to shape program execution strategy.
Required:
An ABET accredited BS in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
3+ years of experience performing engineering-related duties
Background in Mechanical/Aerospace design and analysis
Some travel required
Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
