Responsibilities
Ensure the SEWS CDSs are properly maintained and remain in an operational state.
Provide support for CDS-related issues, ensuring the issue is resolved quickly and corrective actions are well documented.
Perform analysis of CDS impacts when modifications or new solutions are encountered.
Provide recommendations for the best course of action to address CDS-related modifications.
Perform necessary rule and configuration changes to implement updates/upgrades to the SEWS CDSs.
Perform engineering-level testing on CDS updates/modifications and document results.
Maintain the secure status of the CDSs by testing and implementing security/vulnerability updates when available.
Support health check events when CDS evaluations are required.
Perform required backup and restore functions on the CDSs.
Prepare the CDS for exercises and test events and return to operational status after the event.
Provide CDS-related training as requested.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field.
Must have a Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.
Minimum of Security+ certification, CISSP preferred.
5+ years of experience with CDS (Radiant Mercury) development, installation, and troubleshooting.
In-depth knowledge of SELinux, networking, scripting, and regular expressions.
Knowledge of IT security principles and methods.

Minimum Requirements:

**Responsibilities**

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
+ Proficiency in SolidWorks or comparable 3D CAD software.
+ Skilled in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
+ Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience preferred.
+ 5+ years of mechanical design engineering experience, ideally within the automotive, truck body, or mobile equipment industry.

* Coordinate and communicate all aspects of the project's mechanical design within multi-disciplinary teams; including the management and oversight of third party engineering.
* Review project contracts, customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs), professional service agreements, or other contractual documents and incorporate into the design as required to ensure the project meets or exceeds project goals.
* Provide oversight and coordination of projects, working with the assigned design managers and project managers, to meet project budgets and schedules for all mechanical discipline activities.
* Manage other design partners (both internal and external) including construction partners, equipment suppliers, and other engineers and designers assigned to the project or task and review work progress and results.
* Perform detailed technical bid analyses for equipment typical for biogas, bulk solids material handling, water and wastewater treatment, pump stations and pipeline conveyance, groundwater remediation, stormwater recycling, and other industrial facilities.
* Generate and check design deliverables such as PFD's, P&ID's, process simulations, datasheets, and vendor shop drawings in accordance with industry codes and standards, contract requirements, and company standards.
* Support the construction team including representing the design team on-site, answering RFI's, providing creative design solutions, etc.
* Develop schedules, work assignments, and staffing requirements to ensure successful project completion.
* Perform early project design work such as conceptual studies, process flow diagram development, mass/energy balances, preliminary equipment sizing and selection, and general facility layout/arrangement.
* Train, mentor, and advise peers and support staff on proper application of industry standards and best practices.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent engineering program from an ABET accredited four-year university.
* Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred or willing to obtain.
* A minimum of 10 years of industry related engineering experience performing the functions as outlined above for Industrial facilities.

Primary Level Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00

Scope of Work:
The primary purpose of this position is to execute design and construction projects at the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) and auxiliary sites with focus on the project management activities related to Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, project development, plumbing/pipe fitter, and project prioritization for Mechanical Engineering-related activities at the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) and auxiliary sites.
Responsibilities:
Research, plan, prepare and administer design, acquisition, and construction projects.
Develop projects, assess the condition of the HVAC systems, develop, and implement strategies and initiative to improve the systems; provide design reviews and project management of construction projects; maintain databases (NexGen) used to manage the projects.
Apply knowledge of design principles, construction procedures, maintenance principles, HVAC systems and building codes.
Consult with clients and shop personnel to identify problems and ways to improve the condition of the HVAC activities. Perform technical evaluations and design reviews of project proposals and submittals.
Serve as technical advisor to the client, government representatives, contracting, operations, and finance.
Prepare reports and presentations to explain the pros and cons of project alternatives and improvement initiatives. Complete in-house designs and statements of work for small-scale in-house projects.
Provide assistance to the Operations shops in the management of Mechanical/HVAC, plumbing/pipefitter, Interior Utility, and Mechanical Distribution system Sub-Activity Management Plans (Sub-AMP) and participate in the working groups of other related activities.
Analyze corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance data to manage the activities.
Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design drawings and specifications.
Provide and prepare monthly and quarterly reports on the status of assigned activities.
Review mechanical drawings for projects that are administered by other project managers.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
As a federal contractor, THTBC is subject to any federal vaccine mandates or other customer vaccination and/or testing requirements. All new hires are required to report their vaccination status and employment is conditioned on meeting all customer and contractual requirements.
Have in-depth experience in mechanical engineering design and facilities maintenance.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The Mechanical Engineer will provide support to the operation and maintenance of the plant's equipment. They will also be responsible for creating, implementing, and monitoring Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) programs.
The Mechanical Engineer will also be a part of the Amrize US Build4Growth Program. **WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH**
+ The Mechanical Engineer will work closely with equipment suppliers, plant staff to ensure successful operation of the plant.
+ Responsible for monitoring reliability based systems including preventative maintenance systems, vibration analysis, and condition monitoring.
+ Participate in the creation of preventative maintenance routines (PMRs) and bills of materials (BOMs) for new equipment.
+ Management of the preventive/predictive maintenance programs (Inspection, Vibration, Oil Analysis, NDT, thermography, etc.) to ensure optimum equipment availability.
+ Analysis and elimination of repetitive problems through root cause analysis, Pareto analysis, statistical review, FMEA and similar techniques.
