Candidates must have working knowledge of AutoCAD MEP and/or Revit Job Responsibilities As a Sr. Mechanical Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include: · Kick-off meetings with design team, clients and owner to develop a scope of work for project. · Site visits to determine existing conditions and document all associated systems included in scope of work. · Provide project management from project kickoff thru construction administration, as needed · Convey all information required to internal stakeholders for submissions on all design deliverables. · Must have a thorough knowledge of applicable building codes · Must be able to provide consultation on mechanical equipment room sizes during the appropriate design stage · Must be able to produce & review HVAC Load & Energy calculations. · Understands and applies concepts of CHW, HW, WSHP, variable & constant flow systems · Must be able to design HVAC ductwork layouts, ductwork sizing and specify required equipment. · QA/QC reviews of all calculations by Designers, and provide guidance and mentoring · Respond to RFIs for the project, accurately review submittals, and solve installation issues as needed during construction · Ability to draft, edit, and review specifications to reflect the project requirements. · Must be able to edit and develop scope of work (basis of design) narratives · Attend meetings and communicate clearly and thoroughly with clients and establish their needs and discuss designs and design issues. · Ability to coordinate and interact with all other trades. · Meet all deadlines as assigned. Qualifications · Must have at least 10 years Mechanical/Plumbing (MEP) design experience · Must be proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, & Bluebeam · Professional Engineering (PE) Licenses is required · Must be a degreed engineer and hold a professional engineering license · Self-motivated, ability to learn quickly, accept responsibilities and take on new challenges as presented.
