Our client is expanding two high-growth product lines that protect critical environments for life-science, healthcare, and advanced-manufacturing customers. They need a hands-on Mechanical Engineer who loves seeing designs move from 3-D model to factory floor to finished installation. If you thrive on variety - custom equipment one week, supplier negotiations the next, and a quick site visit to verify fit-up - you'll feel right at home.

Produce manufacturable drawings, costed BOMs, and clear assembly instructions that hit quality and lead-time targets.
Run FEA-based structural, vibration, and thermal studies to validate safety and performance.
Source & track specialty hardware - hinges, seals, actuators, filtration interfaces - working closely with purchasing and key vendors.
Coordinate with architecture, electrical, and controls teams plus outside design firms to integrate your work into overall facility layouts.
Lead design-for-manufacture and continuous-improvement projects that boost throughput, reliability, and margins.
Provide on-site support during fabrication, installation, and commissioning at both Midwest and Southeast facilities (≈10-15 % travel).
Maintain CAD libraries, engineering change documentation, and best-practice design standards in the PLM system.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or similar).
5 + years designing custom equipment, enclosures, or capital projects.
Expert with SolidWorks (or comparable 3-D CAD) and comfortable integrating models into Autodesk Revit/AutoCAD plant layouts.
Working knowledge of machining, sheet-metal, welding, and general fabrication processes.
Familiarity with FEA tools; able to interpret standards, specs, and codes.
Strong communication skills for vendor, cross-discipline, and client coordination.
Organized, self-directed, and motivated by continuous improvement.
